I was a new patient at Dr. Lhotas office and I found the Doctors to be amazing but the front desk was horrible. they were inconsiderate, they were not helpful and they had bad attitudes.

I have been a patient of Dr Lhota's for 1 year and he and his entire staff are excellent. Extremely friendly, helpful and professional. After not having gone to the dentist for several years I needed extensive work including 4 crowns and Dr. Lhota made the experience as pleasant and painless as possible. He is very patient and describes all procedures which made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend his practice.

Having recently moved to Manhattan I did not have a dentist when my bicuspid flared up with an abscess Friday January 29th.I called a dental referral network and got Dr. Lhota;s name - that they would call me the next morning. Dr. Lhota's office called, I explained my situation, and they had me come in at 4. Dr. Lhota was very prodessional with a very calm, reassuring, and comforting manner. I knew I was in good hands. He treated the area with anesthetic, piercing the abscess and getting it to drain - pain free. He filled the tooth and prescribed an antiobiotic and pain killer. The next morning I began the antibiotic, a bit concerned about how things had worsened overnight. I called the doctor and he later met me in his office to reexamine me - on a Sunday! Everything was fine - the AB going to need another 12-24 hours to work. And it did. Here I was a totally new patient, being treated on Saturday , seen again on Sunday, called on Monday and Tuesday to see how I was. You cannot get better care than that. Thank you Dr. Lhota - my wife will be calling to make an aptmt, and perhaps my son and daughter in law as well.

Best dentist I have ever gone to - I am 61. Had an emergency and went to Dr. Lhota for the first time on a Saturday - he was kind, caring, sensitive to my pain, and communicativ. He treated me as if I were a long term pattient, followed up his treatment wth phone calls all weekend and into Monday, and was reassuring to me when I expressed concern about some swelling - and his prognosis was right on. Being a Senior, I don't enjoy going to the dentist. When it became necessary, I was recommended to Dr. Lhota and, thank God, he is all that I expected. His patience, kindness, and understanding of the natural dislike of dentists, made me feel extremely comfortable and, believe it or not, during the many extractions I had, I didn't feel pain and never dread going back. His chair-side manners leave nothing to be desired. I am warmly welcomed by the staff support and would highly recommend Dr. Lhota to others.
About Hygienist: The Hygienist, Jung, is extremely warm, patient, thorough and knows her job. The cleanliness also leaves nothing to be desired.

I have lived in NYC for 7 years and this is the first dentist that my wife and I have willfully gone back to. He spends so much time with you and is extremely patient. His services are thorough and you do feel like your teeth are cleaner when you leave. He is expensive and does take limited insurance. Unfortunately I have to wait until my next open enrollment period to switch dental providers and cant go see him until then.
Call ahead and make sure he takes your insurance. They do not take Aetna DMO.

Dr. Lhota is the most scrupulous dentist out there. he take shis time and does grat work, and he is sweet and explains everything. If he charged twice as much I would still go to him! Highly recommended!

This is the most wonderful dentist I have ever been to. He is extremely nice and takes so much time to talk and explain things. Its actually an enjoyable experiance. I have never had any fillings or anything done, so I can't comment on the pain. But, Dr. Lhota has been extremely gentle and so I would not worry. The hygenist is so nice as are the people at the front desk. It is just such a nice environment- you almost want to just hang out! And, Dr. Lhota is extremely knowledgable and is clearly keeping up to date on treatments and research. He came up with easy, inexpensive and novel solutions to my dental problems. Really, I just cannot say enough good things about this dentist. You will be very happy if you see him and have nothing to worry about. I'm excited for my next apointment. He used this very cool camera thing (i didn't even notice it in my mouth) but then we could both look at this detailed picture on the TV screen, up close of my teeth. So interesting and so helpful! love that. and, he had me hold the mirror and showed me what was going on in my mouth. Oh, as if it could be any better- he sees patients on saturday! And, I have never had to wait. The costs are very reasonable and as far as chair-side manners-the best!
