Dr Orenshein has more patients than he can handle.
I called with an emergency (a quarter of a tooth broke off, exposing a very large filling) and I was told by the rude unhelpful receptionist that they could give me an appointment in 17 days.
Yes, SEVENTEEN days.
Bottomline: I need a new dentist.
About Hygienist: The hygienist is very bossy and rude. She needs to learn manners before she can interact with patients successfully. Considering you will spend most of your time with her, I don't think I am going back.

Dr. Orenshein is a no-nonsense, down to earth person. I've had my cleanings, fillings, bridges and an implant done and I've never had a problem. He's also a very nice guy and cares a lot about his patients' comfort. He takes my insurance and when insurance doesn't cover something, he's very reasonable.
I highly recommend Dr. Orenshein.

Dr Orenshein is just OK. For simple stuff is fine, but I would not trust him with anything too complicated.

I used to go to him until I moved out of the state. He is the ONLY dentist I really liked in every single respect.....He is very tall, so don't go to him if you are short and easily intimidated, but he is a fine human being, a knowledgeable dentist, and I highly recommend him--wish i could return, but not in the area.

Low key guy. Good work. Offices could use a sprucing up, but equipment is very clean and up to date. Like all city docs, make appts far in advance to get in.

Dr. Orenshein was recommended by a friend.
He is great; I recommed him higly to anyone who ask me for a dentist. Everyone I sent is extremely happy with his care.

Love this dentist! Very honest. Doesn't pretend that I have cavites, just to get money out of the patient!
About Hygienist: Cris is fantastic! She cleans my teeth extremely well. Very professional. She is always on time, and often early. She's the real reason I continue to go to this office because I never have a cavity or need other dental work.

I had jaw pain and he was booked for a month. His office said if I could come in early the next day he would be happy to see me and he did. Full exam with needed xrays. He set up a cleaning (hadn't seen him for many months) with a top lady. He told her to be gentle (I was concerned about pain and blood) and she was fantastic. Took 45 minutes and went over cleaning, gums, floss and toothbrush use. He then came in again to re examine me. He made the time for me and made me feel cared about. First class dentist, hygienist and the office staff was respectful and considerate (I am disabled). My mouth is now fine (I was also told about a toothbrush I did not know about called the Phillips Flexcare Sonicare. I was told it did most of the work and I would notice the difference in no time and it is fantastic! Now I am telling you about it). One thing I will add is about a photograph I saw in his office. Of he and his wife and children. It was current and was a wonderful image of a loving family. That told me a lot about the person. He is caring and doesn't waste your time. Very glad I saw him.
