Read Reviews for Dr. Harvey Perlow
Dr. Perlow is deceased. He passed away in 2013. The template here wanted more details but dead is dead and I can't imagine needing more than that.

Dr. Perlow is gracious beyond belief considering how neurotic i am about having any dental work done. In addition, he shows me and gives me options for my teeth; such as shade selection.
i have read other reviews of Dr. Perlow and I must say I cannot imagine a more quality professional than he.

This doctor is only after your money. He will corner you in his office until you agree to his treatment plan. The quality of his workmanship is below "poor". The quality of the materials he uses for laminates is unacceptable. Run from him and his staff....all they want is your wallet.

Dr. Perlow is truly an artist! Rome wasn't built in one day. I have to admit I neglected my dental care due to the economy but my smile is a reflection of who I am. I wanted to look my best! My treatment took time and patience on my part but it has really changed my life!

His work is decent though some of his methods are outdated. He acts as though whatever methods he uses are the only methods available, which isn't so. He takes forever to do anything and when I complained, he made all kinds of excuses why it had to take so long. The reason was, he is inefficient and ridicuously slow. He is not mean or evil and he is not unusually expensive for top-tier dentists. But he will sit there and tell you how much everyone loves him (which they don't - just speak to a few of his colleagues - and it is NOT jealousy) and how nobody's patients love them like his do (which isn't so - speak to a few of them.) Who needs this kind of crap when you're paying these prices and there are many others who do cosmetic dentistry as well with newer methods? (Though he will swear up and down that NOBODY can do it like he does!) I gave his customer service a 2 because he is never on time and my time is valuable, though he evidently didn't think so. I gave pain/stress/anxiety a 2 because I had to listen to him which was stressful for me. I gave facilities a 2 because the treatment room doesn't even have place for an assistant. My overall opinion: Save yourself the aggrevation and go elsewhere.

had some bridgework and veneers. Dr harvey perlow is defintely gifted and trained with his hands but it takes an enormous amount time. It is a combination of attention to detail and many breaks taken while being treated( phone calls, coffee, bathroom breaks, etc) I am rarely seen on time for my appointment and have been disappointed to take time off from work travel by plane and have him do something simple like touch up the the teeth then reschedule me. I grew up going to dentist and was shocked that he refuses to wear a mask while working. i do recommend him but only for anterior veneers. My veneers are beautiful but it my bridge is unsightly. He did not take my thoughts or opinions seriously. Once I had a concern about the color and he tried to convinced me that it was right color but eventually changed it to I wanted
Overall he is skills are great but like stated earlier it takes a long time. If not pressed for time you should defintely choose him.

I have used a local dentist in the suburbs for 20+ years and had become dulled by the bland level of service.
When I had a root canal issue flare up in NYC one morning I called Dr. Perlow who immediately referred me to a specialist who helped me within an hour. I subsequently have had veneer and crown work done by Dr. Perlow, and it is beautiful work. He has a gentle manner, explains each step of the procedure and it is virtually pain free - which is important to me!
I recommend him wholeheartedly as a gifted and caring professional. His attention to detail to make sure I was comfortable during and after treatment was first rate.
And my teeth look so natural (color and shape and size) and I am getting many complements on them.

Dr. Perlow changed my life. I was afraid to smile due to chipped and irregular front teeth. This affected my social life and my work life. A friend recommended Dr. Perlow and I have never looked back. Not only was Dr. Perlow caring and considerate. He created a smile that perfectly matched my face and personality. Dr. Perlow is both a dentist and an artist! I continue to see Dr. Perlow on a regular basis for cleanings and check ups. He contines to provide compassionate and skillfull care.
I recommend Dr. Perlow most highly.

Dr. Perlow was referred to me by a good friend. I went in for a cleaning and a cosmetic consultation, and I was immediately impressed by his friendliness and knowledgeability. We later proceeded with porcelain veneers and, to put it simply, it changed my life! No exaggeration!
Prior to the procedure, I never thought my teeth were terrible, but I knew they were far from perfect: an old cap had turned yellow, others didn't line up correctly, and so on. I am a party and vacation planner in New York City and run the largest social network in the area. Looking back at thousands of photos from my past events, I see myself smirking or simply not smiling at all in all of the photos.
Since Harvey finished my veneers this past January, I can't stop smiling! The compliments continue to come in from both social and professional contacts. I see friends that I haven't seen in a while and I keep hearing the same thing: "David, you look really good! What's different?" That is Dr. Perlow's art: he makes the veneers look so natural that no one would guess you've had any cosmetic work done.
I recommend Dr. Perlow to anyone looking for the best cosmetic dentist in New York City!

I am offended by and leery of the previous review of Dr Perlow's work. It can't be by someone who has actually had work done by him or someone who has seen his work.
Dr Perlow orchestrated my very complicated case and did an outstanding job. I interviewed all of the big names in the field, paying some a fee just to talk to them. He is no more expensive than any of the top dentists and more caring and concerned than most. His office is small, but once I sit in the chair and know that my care is second to none, I only care that it is sanitary and pleasant, high tech surroundings mean nothing in the end result. And the end result in my case (and any other I've seen of his work) is a smile better than I could have imagined.
I would gladly contact anyone who is seriously interested in seeing this excellent cosmetic dentistry.
