I was referred to Dr. Schwimmer when I was diagnosed with Oral
Cancer. My first visit I was nervous and scared he put me at ease and
explained everything to me with patience and concern, after surgery he was there when I awoke
which put me at ease. The surgery was a success! I then had a temp prosthetic and went for adjustments when I had an emergency from another dentist I called him
him and he said to come in he treated me with that emergency which I am totally grateful he repaired the mistake the other dentist made He is amazing and I highly recommend him
for all your dental needs I wish all my doctors were as knowledgeable and caring! I have a major fear of dentist and Dr. Schwimmer also made me feel safe
About Front Desk: Yvonne at the front desk is amazing so sweet and has such a great personality Isla the dental assistant always puts you at ease with a smile they both make you feel special at every visit and remembers your name I love them both

Had a totally pleasant experience today. Nice guy. Took time to explain what was going on and kept checking with me even though I was fine and didn't really care what was happening.

I absolutely recommend Dr. Alan Schwimmer as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is pleasant, careful, meticulous, affordable and pain-free. He has done 7 implants on me and I never suffered --- not even a bit --- nor did I have to return because something went wrong. He's always been accessible and reponsive to my questions. In fact, I have eaten Chinese food one or two hours after seeing him and I've never missed a meal after a dental visit.
Having grown up in war-torn Europe, where there were no dentists for civilians, I dreaded dentists and always had nightmares before a dental appointment. No more. Dr. Schwimmer's mild-mannered demeanor also made me relax, not to mention the soothing classical music he plays in the background as he works.
Together with my regular dentist, who actually recommended Dr. Schwimmer, I am thankful that I went to this fine surgeon. I would return without question. - Otmar Kauck

I have a been a patient of Dr. Schwimmer's for over ten years. During that time I have had ten implants along with preparatory bone grafts and extractions. All procedures and the resultant implants were completely successful and without complication. My regular dentist has told me that Dr. Schwimmer's work is among the best he has seen. Dr. Schwimmer is highly professional, but also friendly and sympathetic. I unreservedly recommend him for anyone who is considering tooth implants.

I chose him because he took my insurance. Knowing now what i know about him and what a horrible oral surgeon he is, i wish i'd never gone to him, i would have gone out of network and seen someone more qualified. He did implants and 6 out of 8 failed one by one in less than 2 years and he blamed my dentist who put the bridgework. It was due to his poor skills and his lack of care that the implants failed and he had the nerve to blame someone else for his mistakes.
Shame on him.
I would never recommend him to anyone i know and i regret going to him.

I typically have to wait 1-2 hours in the waiting room for this doctor. There is no communication between him and his receptionist... I came in for an early appointment this morning because I was told that this way I wouldn't have the usual wait time. I still had to wait half an hour, and when the doctor finally saw me, he told me he didn't have my appliance ready and that I would have to wait four more weeks (for an appliance that other doctors can deliver in two). Why was I not called to have my appointment canceled? The disorganization of this place baffles me and I had to miss class twice because of him. I finally left him after all of the stress.

he was absolutely wonderful. my self confidence went up 100% after the surgery on my lower jaw.

What a fantastic doctor! I have very bad TMJ and had two lower impacted (in the jaw bone) wisdom teeth. I am an extremely nervous patient and he put me at ease. The surgery was successful and I had only a week's recovery.
