I went to this dentist because my regular dentist was away. At first i was impressed by his fancy office, but a simple filling became the worst dental experience of my life. That side of my face hurt for weeks and the tooth remained tender for three years, until the fancy expensive filling decayed or something and I just had it replaced. I can finally eat on that side of my mouth again. Unbelievable.
About Front Desk: Efficient, but uptight. A little snooty about my having to pay in advance and about how their fancy filling isn't covered fully by my insurance.

Went to him for a simple cleaning because he was close to home and easy. The whole visit, he was trying to sell me on his new ceramic fillings that would replace my old mercury ones. He was very somber and sort of intimidating with his whole sales pitch thing, making it seem as if my mouth would fall off if I didn't buy into his new fillings schtick.
To top it off, his charge for the simple cleaning was about 50% more than most dentists would have charged, and no different than what they would have done (and since HAVE done.)
Bottom line, a ripoff for a cleaning, and something sleazy about the attempt to sell a product. Could it be he was right about the glorious new fillings he tries to sell you? Possibly, but even if so, his whole thing was heavyhanded and made me feel uncomfortable.

Tonight, the third of my three porcelin fillings, done by Dr. Wexler less than 2 years ago, popped out while I was flossing. Not only was it an uncomfortable and anxiety-ridden experience having dental work done with this man, but none of the pain and money was worth it. He made me feel as though getting anything other than his $600 porcelin fillings was insane and refused to even perform a procedure putting composite fillings in my mouth (he told me he'd have his intern do it if I wanted to but that it was a bad idea). Now I'm $1800 down the tube, and a root canal/crown ($2000) caused from having to have one of the fillings replaced. Very frustrating. I'm never stepping foot inside Dr. Wexler's office again. If you choose to do so, make sure you don't let him bully you into crazy expensive fillings that simply do not last!

I was referred to Dr. Wexler by a friend and am glad I took their referral. After wanting a smile make-over for 14 years, one cannot possibly believe how beautiful the results came out.

This dentist, Dr. Chaim Wexler, is a true pearl for the area. Why he is not on Fifth Avenue I will never know. He was recommended by my girlfriend who had a complete smile makeover with outstanding results. I too was truly beyond amazement at how well my front teeth came out under his professional guidance. This is a must see dentist.
