Read Reviews for Dr. Katharine Rockman
Unfortunately I did not get passed the receptionist for service. I was informed by the receptionist that her office does not except patients with medicare or medicaid because the doctor is afraid of the rift raft that may come to her office. This was said despite Humana / Dentamax advising that my insurance is accepted. I find the comment offensive because as a worker that became disabled, I am referred to as rift raft because I now have medicare because of a disability. At the time I looked passed her ignorance for making the comment and felt by the conversation that I overheard from the receptionist and Dentamax that service from the dentist and office would not be up to my expectations as a professional environment for me to receive treatment. Thank you Dr Rockman and staff ! I know that you think little of your relatives that receive medicare to think of them as rift raft or was that comment made because I am Afican American?
About Front Desk: They consider people on medicare, medicaid or receive insurance benefits through Obama care as rift raft.

This was my first experience going to Dr. Rockman and I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. As a disclaimer, the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating and I have no issues with scheduling, availability, payment, etc.
As for Dr. Rockman, she might have a dental certification but needs some serious help in the bedside manner department. My circumstances made for a complex procedure which I expected to be painful no matter who was doing it, but I was made to feel as if I were overreacting the entire time, which I find to be ironic considering I have a pretty high pain tolerance (not to mention the old adage the customer is always right, especially when it comes to their body). She came across as very unprofessional when she would say things across me to the aid as if I were unconcious, such as "help me I'm drowning over here" while doing a filling. She was condescending toward me when giving instructions, seemed uncertain at times during the course of the procedure, and overall just did a sloppy job that I am having to get redone by a former dentist out of town. I'm no dental expert but I think the treatment I received was far below average and nowhere near what I would expect from a professional in this field.
About Hygienist: I don't remember the hygienist's name, she was very friendly, but also very agressive with the teeth cleaning. Not the best I've ever had.

I've been going to Dr. Rockman with good results for many years. I still drive from Columbus to Cleveland to see her.

I have been Kathy's patient for many years. When I first started going to her I was a very "nervous patient". She was always gentle and understanding. I have recommended her to several of my friends, and they have all had good experiences. Now my entire family goes to her as well.
