Would not recommend Dr. Sharkey. During one appointment, he made numerous attempts at giving me anesthetic on a molar to no avail. The pain was unreal.
I also have a cap that needs to be replaced because the one he put in was ill fitting and allowed bacteria to enter under the cap.
Very displeased with David Sharkey's skills and services.

I moved to Strongsville a little over a year ago and needed a dentist close to my house...that's how I found Dr. Sharkey. My first visit/cleaning he had a family emergency and couldn't be there, but Dottie (front desk) called to let me know Dr. Sharkey made time to see me later in the week at no extra cost. Dr. Sharkey is always smiling, remembers the reason you're there, and is always able to answer my questions. He is extremely friendly and I can tell his staff holds him in high regard. Most of the staff has been there together for 10+ years and you can tell.
Dr. Sharkey's office looks like your typical small doctor office. It's not a "dental spa", but it is very clean and tidy. He has what appears to me to be quite advanced dental technology (compared to what I was used to). There is little to no pain (and I'm a wimp when it comes to dentists). If you're looking for really personal care from a very knowledgeable staff this is the place to go. I will not go anywhere else.
About Front Desk: I've only ever talked to Dottie and she is really great. She is always helpful about insurance questions, rearranging appointments, and has nice phone manners.

About Hygienist: The hygienists are great!!! They really get take the time to get to know you personally. The always give reminders at the end of the visit regarding if I need to floss more, change to a different toothbrush hardness, or recommend a different mouthwash. These ladies are thorough and always ask if I'm doing okay or if they are being gentle enough (they pretty much always are).

I have been going to Dr. Sharkey for years, and have always felt comfortable and well-taken care of. I usually don't like dentists, but he has been the best one I've been to. He cares about what is going on in your life, and is always very pleasant.
