Read Reviews for Dr. Thomas Youngblood
My four year old child is now terrified of all dentists thanks to Dr. Youngblood. She had to have a tooth removed after developing an abscess after a cavity was filled improperly at this clinic. Before Dr. Youngblood removed the abcessed tooth, she was given too much nitrous oxide, and vomitted. After this she was nervous, crying, and told that she would have to hold still. I had to ask him to leave the room to give her some time to calm down, but she was no better upon his return. He proceeded with the removal, despite her protest that it hurt. He advised me that it was just the "pressure of the tooth being removed" not actual pain. Against my better judgment, and as he already had the tooth loosened, I allowed him to finish the removal. When he removed the tooth, my child was inconsolable. She cried, and said it still hurt, and he angrily told her that she would not be allowed to leave until she stopped crying. I said what I thought of that, picked her up and we left. She has since had to have the tooth removed next to the one he removed, because- IT WAS THE ONE WITH THE ABSCESS! She had to to sedated with general anesthia at the hospital because of her intense fear of dentists. Do not send your child to this clinic!!
