Had a bridge completed by Dr. Kern at the St. Barnabus Medical Center which consisted of 3 front teeth. Less than a year later, my x-ray showed tooth decay under my bridge.
My current dentist said it was due to a poorly fitted bridge (gaps) which caused the tooth decay. Now I have to have the Bridge removed and redone for an out-of- my pocket cost of over $2000.00. I went to an implant specialist who reported back to Dr. Kern and made special note of a tooth which required a filling - Dr. Kern never addressed this issue. It was a year later, when I obtained a copy of my medical records that I found out about this tooth was ignored by Dr. Kern at the St Barnabus Medical Center. Possibly he was waiting to Cap this tooth instead of a filling it?
"Would I recommend this dentist to others" NO I personally would not recommend Dr. Kern at the St. Barnabus Medical Center because I feel I received inadequate care.
About Front Desk: Didn't get my message across to the Dentist when I asked several times for an extra visit to get a partial denture for the tooth that was pulled.

Both my husband and I are patients of Dr. Kern and are VERY pleased. My husband was a dental technician in the military and he is very impressed with the hygienists on the staff. Very convenient, accommodating with appointment availability and overall very glad to have found Dr. Kern and his staff. Expect to be long-time customers!
