After I moved to Chestnut Hill I went to Dr. Mendlow for a routine cleaning and I also happened to be due for some x-rays. During my time there, I got the distinct feeling that I was being "taken for a ride". It felt like a used car dealership when I was in the room with the doctor (I'm sorry - just being honest). If you choose to visit this dentist, just do some research before you commit to any expensive dental work. That's another thing. Expensive! He accepts no insurance and he is very pricey. I decided to continue treatment with a more reasonably priced doctor. When I called to tell them that I was switching to another dentist and asked for my x-rays, the receptionist put Dr. Mendlow on the phone and he proceeded to tell me that my new dentist would do substandard work because she was going to be paid less. He said she would have to accept whatever compensation the insurance company gave her so she would be unable to do the kind of work he was capable of. Isn't that what most dentists do, though? Get paid by the insurance company?
About Hygienist: The hygienist, Nora, was very rough. I did not appreciate being taught like a child how to brush my teeth and floss. Yes, I already brush in small circles and floss thoroughly. No, I don't need a refresher course at this age.

Dr. Mendlow is the best. I have had extensive dental work done including many crowns. He coordinates with my periodontist, who has done a couple of implants. He is kind, patient and a perfectionist. His office staff is top-notch and friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Mendlow.
