Read Reviews for Dr. Jamie Ring
Ring's manner was condescending. He provided no help for my problem. And he misdiagnosed my problem. I went to him with acute pain in one of my teeth and an infection my regular dentist was treating me for. After looking at an xray and testing my teeth for cold sensitivity, Ring said my tooth looked perfectly healthy, but that I should go ahead and have a root canal for tooth sensitivity. He allowed that I could have a crack in my tooth but claimed there was no way to find out unless I had a root canal. A second opinion from another endodonist Dr. Matthew S. Davis (he was outstanding) accurately confirmed my family dentist's suspicions that there was likely a crack in my tooth; a light test was the indicator. Davis recommended I get a crown with temporary concrete and see if that holds the crack together, rather than rush into a root canal. He said some people can live with a crack when held together by a crown for years before needing a root canal. In preparing my tooth for a crown, my family doctor discovered a large crack and an unusually large pulp sack. I now have a temporary crown while I await the final crown. My pain is gone completely and I've been able to avoid an expensive procedure I don't need right away
