Left a minor filling on a front tooth unpolished and didn't even notice it on subsequent visit. Sawed into canine to make a bridge fit, which resulted in a root canal on the canine from another dentist because Runco's filling fell out after two tears. Intelligent man and fairly nice, but should have gone into any other profession, because he has no talent for dentistry. On the plus side, he was cheap and easy to see.

I had extensive all-around x-rays done at his office in March. Had lots of work done after that - a cleaning and several fillings. I needed to get a crown for one of my back teeth and after 2 definitive discussions with his office regarding making payment arrangements (of $50 a month) the day i went to have the permanent crown inserted i was told i would have to pay the balance ($373) BEFORE he would insert the crown. Okay, why wouldn't they tell me that when confirming the appt? No, instead i missed a day of work for naught. Then the office called me the next day & apologized and said he (the doctor) misunderstood her (receptionist) and that he would insert the crown (which is the last thing he'll ever do in my mounth again). Now i've been to a new dentist whom i love and guess what there's more work to be done! Issues that should have been caught by Runco and in fact i am now having severe pain under where he inserted the permanent crown - no root canal was ever performed on that tooth and i believe it most likely should have been. I don't think i ever even saw him for more than maybe 10 minutes and what was when i had 2 cavaties filled. Office is like an assembly line!

This guy and his office are a total mess. Rude and arrogant people. Not going back again.

Left unpolished filling on front tooth. Drilled into canine tooth to make space for poorly fitted bridge, which resulted in having a root canal on that tooth 4 years later. Intelligent person with no talent for operative dentistry.

He is the best. Has helped me with a variety of dental problems. Also, the staff is great.

Took my daughter to Dr. Runco's for cleaning and checkups. They did a good job of helping her relax (though she is an easy patient). She actually looked forward to going to the dentist (again, easier for a kid who has no problems and needs no procedures). No complaints.
About Hygienist: I don't remember her name, but the Russian hygienist also did a good job establishing rapport with my daughter and making her comfortable.

i have not had any problems with dr. runco, but have not had any procedures with him either. this office did wonderful with my small kids 3 & 4.

Dr. Runco failed to anesthetize me properly, ignored my screams of pain when he drilled my unnumbed molar, and yelled at me and at my roommate for suggesting he stop and try the Novocaine again. The filling itself is not set correctly, and will have to be redone by another dentist.
About Hygienist: The hygienist and other staff were actually quite nice, competent, and caring. Too bad their boss is incompetent and callous.
