This doctor was officially reprimanded and fined $1000 by the State Board of Dental Examiners Case # SBDE 02-588-0430. The findings included a citation for failing to diagnose 5 teeth over a two year period and failure to keep adequate records. He was also ordered to complete 16 hours of continuing dental ed. For those of you who think it's so great that he doesn't sell you 'unneeded' procedures, think again. I spent thousands of dollars on root canals & crowns for the five teeth that he failed to fill in a timely manner.

I had 2 dentists tell me I needed a molar crowned, and I came into Dr. Speirs office from a recommendation by my boss (who has been friends with Dr. Speir since they were kids). Well, Dr. Speir thought he could save the tooth with a really solid filling. It worked great !!! My tooth has held up very well and I'm happy to say I'm 44 and still no crowns even though it's been close with that one. I really like Dr. Speir and I hope he stays healthy and practices his work for a long time to come. I wish there were more like Dr. Speir...he's as good as they get. Great cash pricing too, since I don't use insurance.

The Best. Dr. Speir and his staff are always friendly. If your afarid of the needle..dont be with Dr. Speir, you really wont feel it. They have always managed towork me in if needed.

Dr. Speir has filled in cavities, pulled several of my teeth and performed some cosmetic work for me. He has an incredible way of avoiding the pain often associated with many dental procedures. He is a true professional.
About Hygienist: His hygienist does a top notch job and makes my mouth feel super clean!

This is the nicest group - very old Austin real people. Dr. Speir met me in his office Christmas Day one year to treat an emergency. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
About Hygienist: I love Alice - she is fun and tenacious about getting your teeth cleaned. She has been with Dr. Speir for years and is like family.

A warm, caring man, still concerned with the welfare of his patients....I have used Dr. Speir for almost 22 years, as have my two sons, and wife. Moderate prices and priceless peace of mind, in my view.

Great dentist! Very gentle and excellent bedside manner.
I started going to Dr Speir after another dentist told me I needed a root canal. A friend of mine recommended Dr Speir who solved my problem with a filling saving me over $1000. I've been going to Dr Speir ever since. He's the best!!

He is a wonderful dentist. He tries to be as gentle and easy as possible. He strives to make your experience as less painful as possible. His office staff is amazing and makes you feel comfortable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good family dentist.

He is the only dentist I will go to and that I trust. I also take my children to him. He is considerate, careful and VERY gentle.

I have gone to Dr. Speir since he started his practice when I was only 6 years old. He is gentle and makes patients feel very comfortable when they come in to his office. I've always been very pleased with everything every time I go- he makes going to the dentist an almost pleasurable experience! I've traveled 45 miles just to go back to see Dr. Speir.
