After asking three times to make sure I was covered by their out-of-network rates, they assured me that it would not cost a dime out-of-pocket.
Result: I was asked to pay $1k. They checked the wrong billing codes (twice).
The kicker: I arrived at 3:30pm. She said that the appointment was scheduled for 3pm (it wasn't). She gave me two options: (1) re-schedule, (2) forego any and all anesthetic during the drilling/filling. Since I couldn't take additional time from work, I opted to go ahead without anesthetic. All so she could leave by 5:30 instead of 6pm.
Bravo, Dr. Tays. Bra ... vo.

I have known Dr Tays for years and she has always made sure I have a beautiful smile! Both of my girls go to her as well and they are a work in progress. Her office is in a really cute old house that is tastefully decorated. Patient comfort is a very high priority. She has a large CD collection and headphones for the patients as well as fuzzy balnkets. And last but not least, she is not oppossed to using nitrous oxide (laughing gas)! She has a great chairside manner and makes all her patients feel at ease and at home!

Very thorough approach, excellent bedside manner, clearly communicates everything she finds. So patient oriented that her ceilings have paintings on them for patients to look at while they're laid back in the chair.

I have gotten a bridge, crowns, inlays, extractions, fillings and routine care from Dr Tays. On one hand, Dr. Tays is good-humored, cheerful and caring. On the other hand, she runs her office with military precision, keeps her appointments to the minute and stands behind her work to an extent that I have never experienced elsewhere. Her costs are in line with my insurance company's 'customary charges' for this area. All of her work has been of very high quality and I would recommend her without reservation: she is absolutely top-notch in every human and professional dimension.
