Dr. Holt did help relieve my pain and symptoms. After a prolong time of treatment he finally gave me a special treatment done in his office that greatly reduced the inflammation, thus reducing my pain considerably.
However, I had an upper back moler that broke through my splint, yet he never examined the cause. Years later, a perfectly health lower moler was cracked by the sharp projection part of the same upper moler. I ended up having a root canal on the lower moler performed by another dentist who also filed down the sharp upper moler. Having the upper moler filed eliminated my pain & inflammation.

Dr. Holt previously worked as a general dentist, but now specializes in TMJ & other craniofacial related problems. He has another dental specialist, Dr. Polson, who works with him and both are very empathetic and congenial and do their utmost to uncover & resolve problems associated with TMJ. Dr. Holt is not on any insurance plans, so costs may be prohibitive, but he's very widely known and regarded in his profession and his office is the only one in this area that specializes in this type of problem. All of his staff are very knowledgeable, congenial & empathetic. If you have TMJ-related disorders, you'll find Dr. Holt to be the best in the field!
