The implant was fine and only a little more then the estimate (additional gas I was told). The next step was placing the abutment on the implant - $450.00. I arrived with cash in hand to have the work done. The assistant said something about impressions and crown, and I said no - just the abutment today. Dr. Majors came in, and said I'll have a cost estimate written out. It was 1960.00 for the abutment and crown. I said I didn't want them to do the crown, because it was almost $1000.00 more then my regular dentist. Dr. Majors handed me the abutment, said' Then have them do it and I hope they take good care of you'. I said - What about the other 2 implants I need? He said 'They can do those too'. Not all dentists use the same implant systems, but I will find one who does to finish this tooth if I have to go to Dallas before I will return to him. The crown was discussed at the beginning of the procedure and I was told I could have anyone I wanted do it, not that it was required to be done by his office for the rest of the work to be done by him.
