Dr. Carmen Smith does not explain to you what she is doing to your teeth, nor does she warn you before she injects the local anesthesia.
I had to go to her many times to fix a problem, but eventually had to transfer to another dentist to take care of it.
During procedures, her arm presses against your chest at times. Moreover, she is rough with her technique, being very far from gentle.
After your procedures are done, she would typically rush to her next patient without asking if you have any questions, and does not explain your treatment plan for the next visit. You will have to figure it out yourself, or ask the office staff, who are wonderfully professional.

Dr Smith is extremely competent and professional. She is very honest in evaluation and not recommending or pressing for unneeded treatment. I had periodontal surgery several years ago in Austin and she has been monitoring my progress since I moved to Dallas. Her office staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
