Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Venincasa provides cosmetic dental procedures with an emphasis on long-lasting results. In order to obtain durable results, Dr. Venincasa has studied extensively from information provided by the most reputable dentists in the world. These studies include how the teeth bite together, how the jaw joint is related to the restoring of teeth, and how to care for jaw joints that are not properly functioning or that may be in pain. Providing a nice-looking result that lasts is very important. Feel free to call for a complimentary consultation on cosmetic dentistry and how it can enhance your smile.

Our Caring, Unique, and Quality Denture Services Feb. 1, 2012, 10:45 a.m.
We realize it can be difficult to find a dentist who is comfortable with providing assorted denture services. Much of the advertising we may see from dentists focuses on cosmetic makeovers and spa-type services. It is disappointing to see dentistry moving in that direction. Whatever happened to a more traditional dental practice that provides more traditional services?
If you are looking for a more traditional practice that is founded upon traditional values and concepts, a practice that is patient-centered, sympathetic and empathetic, that truly listens to its patients, and that is driven to provide services driven by the patient and not by the dentist, then you have found that type of practice right here.
In this article we are addressing denture services. Many of us have a parent or grandparent, or we have a friend with the same, who may have a partial denture or a full denture. Over time these prostheses need attention. They may need to be cleaned, they may not fit as well, they may create sore spots, or they may loosen. It can be difficult to find a dental office willing to take the time to correct these issues.
We are here to let you know we invite you to contact us. We are very interested in assisting patients with our denture services. Our services include extractions, fabricating nice dentures and partial dentures that look good and function well, adjusting existing prostheses, relining and improving the fit of existing prostheses, and adding dental implants and their components to drastically enhance the retention of these prostheses.
We enjoy spending time with these patients, we attentively listen to their concerns and desires, we involve them in the design and construction of their prostheses, and we assist them with the maintenance of them. If this sounds like the type of dental practice you are seeking we invite you to contact us at (972) 250-2580. We very much value your interest and consideration. We invite you to join our practice where we do have the best patients in the world.
Our Flexible Patient Payment Options Dec. 30, 2006, 5:22 a.m.
We understand patients want dentistry to be as inexpensive as possible. We do many things to assist patients with this.
For those of you with dental insurance, we do accept payments directly from your insurance carrier. As a result you are only responsible for your deductible and copayments. Our patients really do appreciate our minimizing their out-pocket expense.
For all patients we offer flexible patient financing through Care Credit. With Care Credit, we are able to offer interest-free payment options as well as extended payment plan options at rates that are considerably lower than what most credit cards offer.
There are other ways we can minimize your expense. For instance we allow you to plan your treatment with us. In that way you can decide what treatment you want to obtain now and what treatment you would rather delay. Our patients value being involved in their treatment planning and being able to make informed decisions on their care.
By our allowing patients to be involved in planning their care, we also allow our patients to decide how conservative they want their plan to be. Our patients are fully able to make informed decisions on their care based on what they want and based on what they are wanting to spend or invest in their plan of treatment.
So we do work very hard to assist our patients in making dentistry as affordable as we possibly can. If you would like to know how we can assist you with your dental care, please give us a call at (972) 250-2580.
CEREC: Single Visit Crowns and Partial Crowns Sept. 27, 2006, 1:34 p.m.
Traditionally, patients who receive crowns or partial crowns from their dentist have to make at least two appointments. At times, the patient must make an appointment in between these two visits when a temporary crown has fallen out or broken prior to the final crown being received by the dentist. Keeping these visits involves travel time, inconvenience, waiting time, and lost time from work. This problem was described by Dave Letterman on his late night television show. Dave thought out loud to his audience, why in this day and age can't a dentist complete the crown procedure in one visit?
Well unknown to Dave at the time, a patient can receive a completed crown in a single visit. The technology has existed since the mid-1980's. Utilizing a computer, digital imaging, and expertise, a crown or partial crown can be made within two hours from start to finish. The advantages of these CEREC restorations are far greater than convenience.
An additional advantage of a CEREC restoration is that a minimal amount of tooth structure needs to be removed after the decay and faulty filling are removed. These restorations are glued, or bonded, to the tooth. This bond creates a tooth with considerably more strength than it had before. Since minimal tooth structure is removed, the tooth is less injured in the process. Thus, the tooth has a better chance to remain problem-free and pain-free.
Since less tooth structure is removed, most of the junction between the restoration and the natural tooth are above the gums. The benefit of this is that the dentist can smooth and polish the junction to a mirror-like surface. This junction can be kept clean mostly with a tooth brush. As a result, the restoration is less likely to decay.
Also, a benefit of the CEREC restoration is that the tooth-colored materials used to make the crowns and partial crowns are made in a very controlled and repeatable process. The restorations are thus very strong, and predictably so. Without CEREC technology, the restorations are made by hand. Making these restorations by hand is less reproducible and less controlled. As a result hand-made restorations may have a higher failure rate. CEREC restorations enable dentists to provide a result that is more predictably long-lasting.
My patients value these restorations. They appreciate their beauty. They appreciate their comfort. Since we can duplicate the exact size and shape of an existing tooth, the new crown or partial crown can feel very natural. My patients also value the convenience of obtaining these long-lasting tooth-colored restorations in a single visit of less than two hours.

What Makes Dr. Venincasa's Office Unique? June 30, 2006, 9:12 a.m.
Many of you are surfing to find a dental office. How are these offices different? How do you know if my office is the right one for you? My aim is to assist you with that now.
If you are looking for an office where the dentist takes the time to find out exactly what your concerns are, what your desires are, and who makes decisions based on what you indicate, then my office is the right one for you. Many offices for different reasons run on a double-booked or on a very tight schedule. Some dentists may not have the same unmistakeable personal touch. We respect your time and your desires more than you know. If you like this for your dental office we certainly invite you to contact us.
Many new technologies exist in dentistry. Some dentists choose to have the latest technologies for the sake of being on the "cutting edge". That may sound great, however, some of the new technologies may not stand the test of time. You can feel assured that we only use newer technologies that have been proven by the test of time. I would not provide any services that I would not want for myself, my family, or my closest of friends.
Many dentists and doctors are constantly running behind. You find you may need to wait for up to 90 minutes to be seen. This habit is totally unacceptable in my opinion. It really does bother me when patients have to wait. As a result I have my schedule managed in such a way that respects your time. My patients often comment that they "never" have to wait on me. While I cannot guarantee that it will "never" happen to you, I can guarantee that our system of scheduling is set up to prevent seeing you past your appointment time. We honestly do respect your time. If our timeliness impresses you please do contact us to assist you.
While these characteristics are well and good, does that in turn mean that I am technically excellent. This is so difficult for patients to evaluate. Patients often evaluate their dentist by how nice they seem, by what the office looks like, by how comfortable their treatment appointments are, or by some other measure. I can assure you that my personality and skills are very compatible with providing care that is exceptional. I have been recognized by my dental school instructors, by my referring specialists, as well as by our Patterson Dental Supply Cerec trainer-coordinator that my skills are exceptional. I also stand behind my work and replace it at no charge to our patients if for some unknown reason something does not last as it should. If this attention to detail is important to you then please consider contacting us now.
I appreciate your interest in me and my practice. I value your taking the time to study my site on DR. Oogle. If we do interest you to some degree feel free to contact us now so we can either visit with you on the phone, make a complimentary consultation visit for you, or schedule an appointment for you. You are in the driver's seat with us. Simply tell us what you would like on your first visit and we will do our best to satisfy you. You can call us at (972) 250-2580.
