Read Reviews for Dr. Arturo Gutierrez
Please see the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners website. Arturo Gutierrez was disciplined in 2013 by the Board for unacceptable dental care of two patients. Arturo Gutierrez was ordered to pay restitution, ordered to complete continuing education courses, and fined $5,000.00,
The complaint process was a bit lengthy, but well worth it. Do not hesitate to report substandard services rendered by this dental practitioner.

Claims to be an orthodontist, however he is not a true orthodontist. There are only a few true orthodontists in El Paso. He did a poor job on by daughters braces. Brackets always broke off and he was ready to take them off even though she still had gaps on her teeth. He claimed that they were perfect. A second opinion from a true orthodontist, led us to ask him to make the necessary adjustments to fix the problem. He became very unprofessional in his demeanor and basically told us we could go else where if we did not like his work. Of course he already had his money so he could say that. That is another thing most orthodontists let you make payments to them over the course of the treatment, but this guy had us apply for credit at Care Credit.... another rip off. The interest was so high we never made a dent in the payment, but that is another story. We were so disgusted by this guy and his rude staff that we went with the true orthodontist (second opinion guy) who refused to take a payment for the adjustment (corrections) he made on my daughters braces. No more broken brackets after making the change. Also he was her dentist too and never once cared for her teeth during the treatment. STAY AWAY from this guy!!!

After 25 years of seeing this dentist that I fully trusted and had faith in, he let me down completely. I had a porcelain crown that broke that he originally inserted 6 years ago. When I went to have this replaced, one of his employees permanently inserted the crown (which is illegal and he did not document) and after inserting it incorrectly, I had to return to his office to have it re-done. Granted I was not charged for the re-insertion (which I shouldn't have been) but within a few months later that porcelain crown loosened. I returned to his office to have him take care of this and he insisted it was not loose (after moviing it himself with his fingers) and he dismissed me. I had to go out-of-town with this "loose" crown and a foul odor emanating from it (as I was developing an infection) so upon my return I went to see a different dentist who took wonderful care of my problem. I adivse anyone who even wants to see Dr. Gutierrez not to do so as he really does not care about the ordeal his patients go through. He and his office only care about your money. I wish I had seen this a lot sooner and I would have saved myself a lot of heartache and a lot unnecessary trips to his dental office.
