I can't say for sure that Dr. Thompson is a bad dentist since I don't remember who the actual dentist was, but the clinic where I had my initial appointment for xrays, etc, was Southwest Dental Clinic on Rural Rd. My complaints:
*impatient staff (rude to others, not just me)
*a very long wait (45 mn, and I had shown up on time), another long wait between x-ray procedures, and numerous trips back-and-forth between two of the rooms where they do the procedures
*outdated and painful technology; the technician was NOT gentle, even with simple things like putting the plastic x-ray things in my mouth
*vague explanations of what was wrong with my teeth; I tried to ask questions but still couldn't get a straight, satisfactory answer
*absolutely way too many x-rays taken (about a dozen the first half of my visit, and then they had to do some with the "big gun," which included about a half-dozen x-ays--that same visit!
I witnessed several patients become upset with unclear explanations of bill issues, and saw a mom ask about 20 questions regarding her little boy's treatment before getting a semi-straight answer. I will not go back again and plan to have all 18 or so of my x-rays transferred elsewhere.

Dr. Thompson was a joy. He made me feel very comfortable. The proccess was very pleasent.
