I've gone in to have him check a severe toothache. He was very friendly and patiently listened to me describe my problems. I was the only patient at the time so he took time to talk with me about my toothache and what my options were. I asked a number of questions and he took them seriously and answered them to the best of his ability. He's an above average dentist.

He did a great job fixing my molar which required a root canal.

Dr. Holubec is a really good dentist. He is very personable and certainly gets to know you after you've been seeing him as long as I have. I've had numerous teeth cleanings and some fillings done by him, as well as a whitening treatment, and all have been successful and relatively stress-free. The fillings can be rather expensive (even with good insurance), but with the pain-free air abrasion technology, that can be expected. I've never had problems with the front desk service, and all of my appointments have been scheduled on-time and went as planned. He seems to be the only one that really takes care of things around the office, but everything gets done as it is supposed to. The waiting room is also very comfortable, with soft music playing, nice lighting, a really cool fishtank, and lots of reading material. Dr. Holubec also recommended an excellent orthodontist for when I had to have braces done, so this certainly made me feel more confident with his being my dentist. Overall, I do recommend Dr. Holubec and don't plan to change dentists any time soon.

I went to Dr. H in 1999 when my insurance changed for a year. He recommended multiple fillings be redone. Other dentists I have visited subsequently recommended more conservative treatment. Only one filling has been replaced as of 2006, with no problems.

I went to Dr. Holubec for teeth cleaning. He told me I had 6 cavities (I NEVER had any cavities prior to visiting him). He put a camera in my mouth and proceeded to show me my cavities. I had the composite fillings done by him for all 6 cavities. Recently I visited another doctor who told me I had sealant on my teeth and no fillings!!! This was confirmed by another dentist as well. I paid a lot for my supposed fillings from Holubec but he turned out to be a lying cheat.
After I found this out, I spoke with several of his other patients and he performed unnecessary procedures on them as well. The magic number is 6 - several people were told they had 6 cavities. I would recommend others to avoid him.
