Long (horror) story short:I waited 2 hours and he put me a chipped porcelain crown. Did not inform me of the defect at all. When I called and complained the next day of the discomfort I came in to have it looked at. Ricketts walked in the exam room and befor even looking in my mouth, he told me he put a chipped porcelain crown (because he said he was tired, it was the end of the day). He had to bust it out and start all over. He also ran out of gas another time and gave me prescriptions under the wrong name/patient.

It was my first visit to see Dr. Gary Ricketts at Spring Cypress Dental and it will not be my last. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
He and his entire staff are very professional , seem to genuinely care about you as a patient and made me feel very comfortable.
I had a friend who has been going to him and I was impressed by her dental work & her recommendation I truly valued. I was very nervous about going to a dentist but was impressed by how they helped me to be ok with it all. Dr. Ricketts is by far the best I have ever been to and I am all too happy that I found him. I have a brand new smile and confidence with my new teeth.
God Bless Spring Cypress Dental!

Both of my now teenage children have seen Dr. Ricketts. He offers air abrasion for their cavities. The procedure was painless, NO SHOTS, and best of all, did not damage the rest of the tooth. The fillings are sooooo small I can't even see them. If I hadn't been there to actually watch the procedure, I would think nothing was done. This prevents fillings so huge you later have to crown the tooth if filling falls out. My children's teeth still look great. He also bonded my son's chipped front tooth and it looks perfect. Would definitely recommend him. (Dr. Ricketts is no longer at this location, he is in the town & country area now).

Made me wait over an hour after scheduled appointment before being called to the chair.
I've been seeing a dentist every 6 months for the last 20 years and had braces as a teen, but Ricketts said that my teeth need over $3000 worth of repair work plus braces! Keep in mind my teeth are straight (according to my previous 2 dentists) and he found no cavities. I haven't had a cavity in 15 years. He wanted to change out all of my amalgam fillings, although they are only 10-20 years old.
Very poor chair-side manner. Very rough on the mouth considering all he was doing was a cursory exam, and seemed to be in way too much of a hurry. In 10 minutes he had his assistant list a page worth of procedures he wanted to perform on my mouth, then off he went.
I've had two dentists in the past 20 years, both of which would comment how straight my teeth are and how little tartar was on my teeth. I brush 3 times daily and floss 3 times a week or better. My teeth are probably in better shape than 95% of the general population, but somehow he wanted to milk $3000 out of my mouth? No thanks.
I felt like I was in a factory operation instead of a dental office. I'm finding a dentist that cares about his or her patients, instead of the $.

Though I was treated by Dr. White who was great, I heard lots of Dr. Ricketts patients talk about their great care and treatment they received from him. The clinic is one of the best in the area.
