I cracked my right bottom molar. My regular dentist was out of town so I called Dr. Schlattman, who was recommended. He needed to crown that tooth and the one behind it. To begin, he laid the dental chair down flat, which I did not like, and started to work. It was very painful as i was not numb and I was waving my arms to get his attention and I had tears running down my face, but he would not stop!! it was horrible. Finally he stopped to get something. I sat up, shaking. I told him it was hurting and that I needed more Novocaine and he sighed and rolled his eyes. It was clear that he was annoyed. I could not walk out, I was stuck with him at this point. He put the temporary crowns on and one of them came off a week later and I had to go back for him to put it back on and i asked him if he was going to numb it as the tooth was cracked and still very painful and he acted very annoyed and again rolled his eyes. I finished the crowns and he did a good job but he was very rude and uncaring. NEVER AGAIN would I got to him if he was the last dentist left in Houston. I would drive to Dallas first!

I have had 4 large fillings done, total the insurance paid was $650, my part was $198. Next, I will have a crown and I think the cost of that is about $800.
Dr. Schlattman is a very patient, kind person. He is very calming and is a guy you can trust. He is what the dental world needs. He books up very fast and spends a lot of time doing procedures because he is detail oriented. Some dentists are not. Insurance help could not have been smoother or easier, pre-estimates are they way to go. The front desk staff is always very friendly and understanding. They know what is going on, and will make sure you do too. I have been to horrible dentists before, and now I have found a keeper.
