Not the cheapest dentist around, but the best when it comes to sedation dentistry.

I called Dr Wheeler's office prior to making an appointment to confirm that they accept my dental insurance plan. Over the phone Dr Wheeler's office informed me that my insurance is accepted at their office. After hearing this, I proceeded to make an appointment. Once I got to Dr Wheeler's office, the office staff made a copy of my insurance card while i waited to be called back for my dental exam. I waited for about 15 to 20 min and was then called back. I had a routine exam as well as x-rays completed. After the exam and x-rays, I went to the front desk to schedule an appointment for a cleaning and to have the required work done on my teeth. At that point the office manager informed me that they in fact do not take my insurance and that I was to pay for the exam and x-rays out of pocket!!! Additional calls to discuss this with Dr Wheeler were not returned. Therefore I will be making an ethics complaint to the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners

I mixed reviews for Dr Wheeler, I thought he did excellent work however expensive but recently my Mom, how has had alot lot of work done with him (implants bridges over $20,000), had some of the work fall out. We felt he should take some responsibility for it ~ just want to charge her again.

Perfectionist but expensive! Great office and staff cavity filling for example runs 150-200. Cleaning 90.
