I absolutley love Dr. Douthit. I have been going to her fro the last seven years, and I have absolutely no complaints. I am in college now, and no longer live in San Antonio, but it is breaking my heart to have to switch dentists. She is a great dentist who absolutely knows how to take care of her patients.
About Hygienist: I have had two hygenists with Dr Douthit and they were both great. They really take the time to teach you how to take care of your teeth and recommend products to help you.

Dr. Douthit has treated my entire family for both general dental needs as well as orthodontics and we have been very happy with the results.

Dr. Douthit has a very pleasant office, and her hygienist did an excellent job with my 5 year old son.
Customer service is great, and office staff are friendly.
Cost is a little higher than others, and she's not a provider for my insurance, so my out of pocket was higher.
I had to go back after having my fillings done to have some adjustments, but have had no problems since.

Dr. Douthit's office is quite comfortable and the staff is very nice. My husband and I both had crown work done by Dr. Douthit. We've had so much trouble we've had to switch dentists. Our crowns did not meet correctly and we both experienced quite a bit of pain and general tooth sensitivity. After several visits to grind/re-shape the crowns the pain got worse. We went to another dentist for a second opinion and the crowns were ruined - they had been completely ground through. When we complained we were told we would need to pay again for the re-work with Dr. Douthit. We did not go back. Secondly, I had molds made for whitening trays ($300 cost). The office would not let me take them home, saying they store them for customers. I called to get them back when we stopped using Douthit's services and the molds had been destroyed. I asked to have them re-cast for free - after explaining the promise I was made about storage - and I was told they would gladly re-do the work for full price. All in all, the work is poor and the communication is worse. I do not recommend this office for dental work.
