Outstanding dentist. Outstanding service. Friendliest staff you'll find anywhere.
There is absolutely never a wait. Dr. Gelle is standing by the door to greet you for you appointment when you walk in. I had a minor dental emergency on a Saturday. A tooth cracked. I called Dr. Gelle's office at 1030 AM as was in the dental chair by 1100.
The office is immaculate and very well decorated. The waiting room looks comfortable, but I've never had to wait. There's a small parking lot behind the office.

My son and i saw Dr. Gelle for the first time yesterday. I have had more than my fair share of dental nightmares and he was NOT one of them.
The staff attitude was phenomenal. Very friendly and gentle.
Dr. Gelle was a kick. Pretty funny, yet professional.
It has been15 years since I had a dentist I felt comfortable enough to go back to for regular visits, This will be our family dentist. No spot checks with problems. Regular visits.
If I get a bit more flush, I plan on going back to him for cosmetic work.
About Hygienist: Exceptionally gentle. My son said the same thing.

Dr. Gelle is the Best. His office is pristine. I have never never never had to wait.....he is ready for me at my appointment time. His work is exacting and he believes in preserving teeth and never recommends unwarranted procedures. Pain-free....even for preparing a tooth for crowns.
I used to live in Alameda and now travel over an hour for my dental appointments.....worth it because I really trust him.
Office staff is welcoming and friendly.
Like I said...the Best!

Dr. Gelle is very personable, gentle, and professional. He takes pride in his profession and treats everyone with respect. He is the best Dentist in Alameda, by far.

Dr. Gelle is a knowledgeable and pleasant dentist. He gives thorough cleanings and you don't feel a thing at all! He's very gentle. Friendly staff. Great overall experience and highly recommended.

The only reason I went to Dr. Gelle was that the dentist I was regularly seeing had retired, and he had recommended Dr. Gelle. I found Dr. Gelle to be sociable, but quite arrogant and abrasive. When I asked him questions about treatment, he would interrupt me without letting me finish my question. Dr. Gelle came across as a know-it-all and failed to explain treatment options/methods in a thorough and complete manner. The most reprehensible thing he did however was put five fillings in my wife's teeth after telling her she only needed one. Dr. Gelle continued applying fillings without letting my wife know what he was doing!
With all of the choices East Bay consumers have in selecting a general dentist, it perplexes me as to why Dr. Gelle would engage in such practices. His staff was comprised of mainly young, but courteous folks. Although they were pleasant, it was difficult to tolerate the rap and hip-hop music they play at high volumes while sitting in the dentist's chair with your mouth wide open!
Needless to say, my experience, as well as wife's experience with Dr. Gelle was quite unpleasant.

I have been very happy with Dr. Gelle. The staff is very friendly and they are always on time. if you have to reschdule, you do not have wait more than a week or two to get in. I highly reccomend Dr. Gelle!

I've been a patient of Dr. Gelle's for two years and I really like his office and I am extremely satisfied with his work. He's so good that I recommended my sister and brother to him. Keep up the good work G!

this dentist is great. very social. i enjoy his work. no pain at all. great staff. the office is cosy. i will go to him again until i cant go anymore.
