Expert service. Dr. Kurtz took me in during a dental emergency and has provided my dental care ever since. We have negotiated my care based on my limited funds and the restrictions of my dental plan. He adheres to a high professional standard but has proven time and again willing to adjust his expectations to fall within my means. One does have to be willing to engage in negotiations with him.
About Hygienist: His hygienists are thorough and caring. I am particularly challenging as a patient--plaque builds up rapidly--and they have helped me modify my dental hygiene to reduce this problem.

Seems like an okay dentist. He is in the same office as my previous dentist, Dr. Rotman. He seems nice and competent enough, but he seems like a lot of dentists I'm encountering these days who are pushing services.

I had a pretty deep cavity under an existing filling that Dr. Kurtz fixed for me. He gave me the choice of choosing between a crown or a filling (which I went with and is cheaper) - I didn't feel like he was trying to take my money. Completely painless - and it looks great. His initial evaluation of me was very thorough - measured each tooth for receding gumline, diagnosed my teeth grinding (which I knew about but no dentist ever noticed before), and was just super pleasant in general. I highly recommend Dr. Kurtz and his office staff.
About Hygienist: Teeth felt super clean, hygienist was very friendly, totally painless.

This is a top notch dentist with excellent hygenists too. They are all about good dentistry. He has been my dentist for over 10 years. Even after I moved an nour away I kept him as my dentist.

I am quite apprehensive of dental work (I imagine quite a few people are), and I have to say that Dr. Kurtz is the only dentist I have ever been to more than once (and I have been to a few in my 31 years)
Dr. Kurtz has taken away any anxiety or fear of dental work. He is extremely gentle, very very good at his work and generally a great guy as well.
And his office staff... FIRST RATE. Very very helpful, very willing to work with you, and genuinely care about your well being.
I Highly recommend Dr. Kurtz for your dental care needs. He has been my family's dentist for over 2 years now and I have had nothing but great experiences.

All I can say is BEWARE!!!
This man was very conniving! At first he was all smiles, professional and presented a nice facade. But as I got into the treatments he became progressively ruder. He would not listen to my concerns of pain and discomfort. He accused me of exaggerating the pain and suggested that I should just grow up and bare it. After weeks of more pain I returned to his office after many unreturned phone calls& He then told me that I was bothering him and that I should go see someone else&.
Well, I took his advice. I have a new dentist now. Dr. Endo on Ashby Ave and he is a dream. This little man is the most sensitive dentist I have ever met. He is gentle and understanding of my problems. He has corrected all the mistakes that he found in my mouth and I am happy to say that I am now PAIN FREE!!! My teeth look wonderful and I have Dr. Kutz to thank! Thank you for being so horrible that I found someone truly great!!!
