Dr. Dikeman is a very skilled and friendly dentist. He has been practicing for decades and does a good job. He is honest and a good person and I don't think he'd try to just make a to make a buck off of you by doing unnecessary work.

I have been to approximately 10 dentists in the DC are over the past 18 years. Not that I have wanted to go to so many - I did go to one DC dentist for 7 years but I wanted to find a VA dentist. I have gone to a dentist every 6 months for the past 20+ years. Now I have found one I can stick with. He did a fabulous job cleaning my teeth. He did a panoromic xray of my teeth which was very interesting. I can tell he is conservative- not trying to redo all my old fillings and I appreciate that.

I've enjoyed good dental care in the NoVa area primarily b/c I have always had good teeth and pleasant hygienists. The dentists in my practice were nice, but would only step in and take a cursory look and bid me a kind farewell.
Dr Dikeman has a warm demeanor. He took the time to get to know me as a person and understand all the physical issues (TMJ / facial trauma) and emotional stress factors that contribute to jaw pain and the demise of my teeth b/c of clenching. His interest and suggestions have built trust and helped me relax in the dental chair.
No dental office is without expense, but the peace of mind, the quality dental care, concern and warmth of staff, will keep me coming back until (Yikes!) he retires.

Dr. Dikeman is a kind gentleman with plenty of experience and a soothing approach. He does not rush thru procedures and he explains everything in layman's terms. I have a voice in my treatment options and he thougthfully considers my concerns.
Never are their multiple patients seated nor does he typically keep you waiting in the waiting room.
The outside of the building is a little deceiving b/c it's a 1960's rambler. Inside, it's a warm and relaxing environment.

Dr. Dikeman has been my dentist my entire life. My mother has taken our whole family to him since we were born and she has been going to him for over 35 years. HE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Even though we moved away from his office, we drive almost an hour to see him because he is THAT GOOD. He truly cares for his patients and looks out for you. If you choose another doctor, it's your loss. A huge loss.

Dr. Dikeman has been my dentist off and on for over 30 years too. Never a complaint.

Dr. Dikeman is the best dentist I've ever known. He's honest, clean and always thinks of your comfort first. He never makes you feel like you're acting like a baby (even if you are). And, he has a great sense of humor that isn't "studied", just real.
When he talks to you, it's as if it were over a cup of coffee.
He's a great listener, too.
Dr. Dikeman doesn't run up patient cost by using equipment or
materials that he believes to be useless or unnecessary.
He practices dentistry as it should be practiced - with kindness and skill.
I've been going to Dr. Dikeman for almost 17 years and I intend
to go to him until he retires. Now you KNOW he must be good -
I live just south of Baltimore!

Dr. Dikeman has been my dentist for nearly 30 years. I continue to go, no matter how far away I move because he's a great dentist and a great guy. He does great work and never forgets a thing about you or your family. He cares and it shows!
