Dr. Stringham had been partnered with Dr. Andrew Lewis for years. They opened a second office in Haymarket and ultimately split up the practice, with Lewis staying in Haymarket and Stringham in Fairfax. Due to geography, I switched over to Dr. Stringham and bid adieu to Dr. Lewis, after 15 years.
Stringham seems to be a perfectly competent dentist and is pleasant, but he's not the world's-nicest-dentist, like Lewis is. My young son is okay with Dr. Stringham, but we think that he'd benefit from a more nurturing sort of personality for an upcoming procedure he'll need. I won't change dentists, but I think that we'll move my son to a pediatric dentist.
I did have a filling with Dr. Stringham that I needed to make a return visit to have redone, something that I had not gone through in more than a decade and a couple fillings with my previous dentist.

Dr. Stringham and the staff are great. He was my dentist for about 14 years and I reluctantly had to leave because of a change in my work's dental insurance, and the added cost for me to stay with Dr. Stringham. If our insurance ever changes, I will return to his office for my dental work most definitely.
