Read Reviews for Dr. Thomas Eichler
Dr. Eichler is the best dentist in the area. He is very knowledgable and personable. I have been going to him for over 30 years and would certainly recommend him.

Dr. Eichler, the president of the dental practice of Reston Dental Arts (RDA), took over my care from another RDA dentist who had retired. The care I needed was for lower, front teeth veneers that broke shortly after they were installed following two years of a $10,000 ortho treatment by RDA to make their installation worthwhile.
After examing my broken veneers, Dr. Eichler relayed that my previous dentist admitted he was "disappointed" by my ortho treatment. Given this, i.e., the absence of ordering further ortho work and installing the veneers anyway, I asked that the broken veneers be replaced at no charge. He countered with a $500 night guard -- an offer he never budged from based on a claim that "I was told of the risk" (which I wasn't).
The RDA that Dr. Eichler oversees is great for bread-and-butter cleaning and cavity filling; I've never had trouble with either treatment, and the work is done well by cheerful, skilled hygienists. But when it comes to very serious, specialized, and expensive treatment, I suggest seeking out a practice whose philosophy is to work with the patient at no charge 'til it is done right rather than unapologetically charging yet again for poorly executed work.

Dr. Eichler considered my dental needs not only from a medical standpoint, but also from an aesthetic standpoint. He assessed my medical/health needs and we worked out a treatment plan. But he also replaced my metal fillings with tooth-colored fillings, making my smile look so much better. The entire time, Dr. Eichler was professional and friendly. I liked that he occasionally hummed along with the piped-in music, which put me at ease!

I've been seeing Dr. Eichler for over ten years. He is a consumate professional and has always been helpful. He has a great sense of humor and will really get you to relax. (I'm nearly terrified of dentists having had all my baby teeth pulled because they supposedly wouldn't come out on their own.)
He has done three crowns for me as well as fix a very bad toothache (which ended up being a very small crack in the tooth right around the nerve.) He is always careful and I have never experienced pain (including the intial novacaine shot, since he numbs the area where he is giving the shot with a topical anesthetic.)
Reston Dental Arts does not accept some dental plans and they are a bit expensive, but if they take yours, by all means go to Dr. Eichler. Great guy. Great dentist.

Serious complications from cavity being filled which led to months of pain and almost no follow up from Dr Eichler. I was disappointed becuase he seemed very nice but when complications set in, he forgot about me.
