Dr. Mitchell, himself is very polite person and a great dentist. Very accurate and makes great recommendations. One can trust that he is not trying to just make money.
His staff rocks Lam, does most of the periodontal work and the experience was painless, and wonderful. I hate going to a dentist, I loved all the treatment and help I received here.
Roslyn, she is wonderful and a great expert dealing with insurance and will work to any patients total satisfaction. Well mannered polite and caring.

Dr. Mitchell has great difficulty listening to patient input or concerns. This is especially true when the unfortunate reality is that the treatment prescribeed is not working.
He is very much like the PBS television show "Doctor Martin" - only Dr. Martin, while having no people skills, is generally right.
Would not recommend....

Dr. Mitchell is a very talented dentist. One of the best I've found, and that is the reason my family has stayed with him all these years. However, the one downside is that he is contracted only with Delta Dental (WDS). Despite this fact, we stayed with him and paid the difference that the insurance didn't cover. His charges are mostly reasonable and we thought it worthwhile staying with him despite: 1. We moving residences and the distance becoming a factor and 2. partial insurance coverage. The best thing we liked about him was that he never recommended some treatment/procedure that we didn't need. And whatever he recommended was certainly in our best interest - always. I had cross-bite and I resisted his recommendation for orthodontia for a long time (2-3 years). He persisted in his advise, and I finally listened. The orthodontist he referred was also a very high quality person (Dr. Jeffrey Schur) who did a great job. I have recommended Dr. Mitchell to several friends. But recently, the choices for dental insurance my company provides are very bad (high out of pocket costs-almost like no insurance), and so unfortunately I'm shopping around for an in-network dentist closer to home, and will not be seeing Dr. Mitchell anymore.

Slow Methodical but very good results. Have had many crowns and fillings, never had a bad result or had to return for adjustment. Quite expensive.
About Hygienist: Very fast, and painless.

Dr Mitchell is the WORST dentist I have ever been "treated" by. He is brutal and abrasive and has a terrible chair-side manner. On my last visit he performed a procedure without telling me what he was doing or how much it was going to cost until after he performed it. He did not consulting with me if I wanted it done and did not give me a chance to see if the procedure was covered by my insurance. Turns out it was not. I am being stuck with a bill for $242.

About Hygienist: Dr Mitchell is very nice and has a good sense of humor. He always makes me feel comfortable. You can tell he is a good doctor with a lot of experience by the way he talks about your teeth. He is very good at what he does.

Smartest and most talented Dentist I've ever found. Completely reengineered my bite to eliminate my TMJ, and much much more. A gentle soul at the top of his field who knows his stuff. Hard to think of a negative... OH WAIT, it is dentistry, no matter what they say.

I'll second the 1st reviewer's remarks. Dr. Mitchell is a very nice person, a great technician and takes a measured, reasonable approach. His hygienist does a great job and my experience has been the least discomfort I've ever had from a cleaning with excellent results. Ditto for the assistants he has, all of whom take the time to do it the right way and won't hesitate to redo something until it satisfies their standards. I'm glad to have found him, I know from experience that finding a dentist as qualified as Dr. Mitchell and an office staff this competent is a rarity

The best dentist on the Eastside, hands down. The best experience I have ever had visiting a dentist. makes all my dental trips fun and actually enjoyable! Without a doubt the nicest, most sincere personal care I have ever received. If you need to switch dentists, there is only one choice. Even if you don't need to switch, I can forgive folks for not going to a mac from a PC but I can't forgie them for not switching to Dr. Mitchell!! I mean it.
