Dr. Munk has been my dentist since I was a kid. Over that time I have had no cavities. He encourages preventative dental hygiene, and is conservative in his recommendations for "fixing" things (ie: if it's not broke, don't fix it!). When he does recommend dental work, he is efficient and good at what he does. You can expect minimal pain and a quick recovery from any dental surgery.
About Hygienist: The hygienist is great. She will remember your name and family, chat about interesting topics, and give tips on how to keep your teeth looking great. My teeth have always felt extremely clean after seeing her.

Very competent dentistry. The office environment is friendly and efficient. No frills, just a real concern for the patient's well being. I wouldn't think of going somewhere else.

I went to Dr. Munk to get a second opinion after another dentist suggested that I need to get 9 fillings after never having a single one. With his consultation we determine that all had the potental of being arrested and only a couple were on the cusp of being to advanced. I found his objective and careful approach refreshing in contrast to the other dentist who simply tried to convience me into spending as much on dental work as possible. His office in nothing impressive, but the service and expertice are great.

After moving out of the Ballard area, I tried three different dentist before going back to Dr. Munk. I trust him. There are no big thrills, but that is what keeps the cost down. I feel I'm not being sold on care that I don't need to cover that type of expense.
