Went to Dental Group of Beverly Hills with Dr. Soheil Khodadadi a couple years back. They did a sloppy job on my front fillings (a young persian female dentist there), put in temporary soft fillings and didn't bother to mail out my referral paperwork for my permanent fillings for a week. This left my with no molars and in pain for almost two weeks. On top of that, he added a "tooth health care kit" for $50 to my bill. When I looked inside, it was floss, toothpaste and a toothbrush. And to finish it off, he said I needed to pay a $3000 "deposit" for future work. When I tried to contact him regarding my referral (that was grossly late and I couldn't chew on soft fillings) and fees, he avoided my calls and had his peons talk to me instead. I had to threaten to sue before I received a response. I took my x-rays and money elsewhere.

I was recommended to Dr. Khodadadi by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I was afraid to go to the dentist. However, Dr. Khodadadi's techniques for sedation were very comfortable and he was able to complete my treatment in 2 easy visits. My Implants are comfortable and my smile looks awsome.

cheaper alternatives are not clearly presented, feel like they are very interested by money, nice dental work, attention not to inflict pain

Tried to deny my rights to collect from my insurance company for a covered procedure. Once the insurance company notified office that the procedure was covered, the office dropped me citing " being unconfortable with rendering future service to me". This uncomfortableness came only 'after' the office was told that they had over-charged me, and that a procedure in progress was covered by y insurance!!
Great Dentist - lousy billing/insurance procedures. Take your chances.
Don't give up your insurance rights - even if you sign a statement - insurance will still cover if your coverage allows.
