I was a patient of Dr Burns for several years and was very happy with the friendly and non-aggressive approach from his staff. My biggest anxiety was cost, as I don't have comprehensive dental coverage. I was fine until he diagnosed a fracture in one of my teeth and suggested a very expensive, but seemingly worthwhile fix. When I tried to discuss my anxiety over cost, however, the previously warm and friendly staff suddenly had no patience for my concerns. They answered my questions brusquely and without compassion. I felt rushed and pressured to make a decision. I believe Dr Burns made an accurate and honest diagnosis, but I am now searching for another dentist who might be a little more caring of their financially challenged patients to perform the procedure.

I went to City Center Dental after 3 years of avoiding dentists, and it was the best dental experience I've ever had. They did a very thorough examination (better than any other dentist I've been to) and a cleaning while I was there. All of the staff in the office were very helpful, professional, and congenial, and all recommendations that they made took my insurance coverage into consideration since cost is an important issue for me. The only thing I paid for was the fluoride treatment which is not covered by my insurance. Even after the appointment they were very helpful. My wisdom teeth are impacted and beginning to cause problems, so I needed a referral for an oral surgeon. It is very difficult to get approval for this procedure from my insurance company (it's basically a dental HMO), so the staff helped me through the process. Once the approval was secured, they got me an appointment with the oral surgeon in less than 3 days, and sent over my x-rays and records promptly (after getting my permission of course). In addition to the excellent service, I was also offer a warm shoulder wrap and a hand massage during the cleaning at no charge, which made the experience much more relaxing for me. I highly recommend this dentist.

This place just wants to make money at any expense. Dr. Burns recommended an expensive deep cleaning for me that was not covered by my insurance. However, this recommendation was done without even checking my gums! When I tried to decline the expensive cleaning, the office manager would not schedule me for a basic cleaning at all. I either had to pay for the expensive cleaning or get no service! I left right away. Stay away from this place - it may look beautiful and they do give hand massages but it all comes at a price. My sister was also a patient but changed dentists when they wouldn't stop harrassing her to get her teeth whitened!
