The most horrible experience in my life. My jaw still hurts a month later. I am getting shooting pains in my temple due to this procedure.

I needed all four of my wisdom teeth out, two of them were impacted. I did my research beforehand to get an idea of what to expect. Dr. Blatter performed this procedure on a friday but did not scedule me for a follow up appt until the following Monday because he was out of town. I had tremendous pain. The pain medication was too strong and made me vomit. Not taking the medication was not an option due to the level of pain. I suspected something else was wrong so called the receptionist to be seen quicker. She told me as long as the medication was working I should wait to come in (on Monday). Dr. Blatter was on vacation. I went to the oncall Dr. who was very helpful and felt very bad for me because I had dry socket. He treated me kindly and prescribed me different medication which was tolerable. I spent $600.00 for this procedure and was billed $115.00 more after my insurance paid. I dont feel the Dr. deserves anymore of my money due to his lack of concern and scheduling me for an appt more than a week after my surgery. I should have been seen exactly one week after surgery (Friday before the weekend). And the receptionist should have taken me more seriously. Bad advice to wait just because the medicine was working.

Our 12 year-old daughter had an oral tumor that was suspicious of cancer. Dr. Blatter made the diagnostic experience extremely manageable. The oral surgery was potentially expensive so Dr. Blatter waived the CT scan charge. He explained every detail of the procedure in a kind, gentle manner and spent time with us as if we are his only patients. We can't imagine any other oral surgeon taking care of our daughter. Dr. Blatter is the best!

Dr. Blatter had to expose and attach chains to 3 teeth on my child. He did a beautiful job. A year ago he pulled a permanent tooth for myself. He is a excellent doctor I would highly recommend him.

Although he seems to have the best intentions, he's quick to reach for the scalpel and to assume the patient has a low pain threshold. As a result of treatment I ended up in the hospital for over a week with an infection that required further antibiotics after my release. Rather than take images to verify an abscess, he went straight to draining-but there was nothing to drain. In the emergency room a few staff remarked that they'd "worked with him before". No kudos from them. Another staff person said their spouse went to him and required corrective cosmetic surgery to rectify their situation. Then a colleague said their experience with him was not positive and also resulted in an infection. His office has no personal touches and is somewhat dated and furniture not real clean--if he needed to lock up shop there'd not be much left behind. He truly seems concerned and well-intentioned, but is somewhat controlling at not the best time with not good results.
