I traveled 2.5 hours one way just to see him to correct my overbite, because he was the only one my orthodontist would recommend, and I would do it again. My procedure with any other doctor would mean i would be on a liquid diet for about 4-6 weeks and Dr. Dann had me on pasta a week later. His staff was also amazing and very helpful. If I had to have this surgery over again, I would go to him.

My daughter had her lower jaw broken and moved forward. If that wasn't scary enough, her jaw was so thin on one side that during surgery it broke and he had to fix that as well. Because of Dr. Dann's expertise and her age, she recovered wonderfully! The staff is friendly and very helpful. The doctor has a wonderful bedside manner and is extremely knowledgable about his profession. You couldn't ask for anyone better! Thank you Dr. Dann.

Nicest doctor I think I have ever met. Great staff too. Pulled my wisdom tooth in under 4 minutes, no exaggeration. Never had to wait in waiting room.

Dr. Dann removed my wisdom teeth and so far so good. I had a little side affect to the Meds. I was able to call him and he was able to help me. He reminded me that his services were available 24hrs a day. He gave me peace of mind. Also a nurse by the name of Kelly was very helpful and she even called me later that day to check up how I was doing.

Although I am a new patient, I have had a great deal of respect and admiration for the work of Dr. Dann. He is very easy to talk to and answered all of my questions and has done a remarkable job so far in making me quite sure that he is the best oral surgeon I have ever met.

If by a stroke of luck your surgery goes well, then you'll be fine with this guy, if not, you're screwed. This guy has an ego large enough for it's own gravitational field and the thought of anything he did going incorrectly or against his wishes is more than he can handle. The problem is that you're the only one suffering because he won't have the time to deal with you, won't treat you properly, won't follow up with you, and his staff considers suicidal thinking to be a "normal" side effect of his work. Trusting this man was the worst thing i ever did. I don't care how badly you need surgery...you're better off with what you have now than the possibility of what he can give you....unless it was a car accident in which case you wouldn't have the time to research surgeons anyway, and therefore: goodluck. Oh and even prior to his failure to handle a bad situation properly, even in good situations, this man had the nerve to be so rude as to make negative remarks about my fashion choices, teenage acne...etc...i may not be a doctor but i'm mature enough to not have told him what a wrinkled old bag he was, cuz i was there for professional help, which he quite frankly was unable to perform: he can do surgery: not professionalism!

Dr John Dann is an amazing surgeon. When I was 17 years old, I had an unfortunate accident and broke my jaw in 3 places, along with all of my teeth. My mother is a Dentist and, with her knowledge of excellent doctors, took me to Dr Dann. I am now 20 years old and have normal motion and sensation back. Not only is he a great trauma surgeon, but he is one of the premier Maxilofacial surgeons in California, doing jaw reconstuctions to simple extractions.
