Dr. Hickory was recommended to me by my prosthodontist, who advised that Dr. Hickory is one of DC's best and most experienced orthodontists and a pioneer in Invisalign treatment. Following a comprehensive and detailed evaluation, Dr. Hickory offered me three options for straightening, two of them traditional metal braces, and Invisalign. I chose Invisalign and found the appliances comfortable and easy to wear, with no buccal irritation or discomfort. After little more than a year, a very successful result. Dr. Hickory's practice is state-of-the-art, and I give him and his staff my highest recommendation.
About Front Desk: Dr. Hickory's staff, both administrative (front desk) and clinical, are welcoming, knowledgeable, and efficient. Excellent!

I met with a number of orthodontists who looked great "on paper" but when I met with them, there was something missing. I wasn't comfortable with them, and that was a huge red flag for me. My final stop was Dr. Hickory's office to start my Invisalign treatment. It was the best decision I have ever made.
Being in Human Resources in the DC area for 20+ years, I know how critical it is to receive excellent and caring service from a provider that is an expert in their chosen field. Dr. Hickory, along with his entire team, is nothing short of amazing.
From my very first visit to Dr. Hickory's office, I have had a 5-star customer service experience. Not once... NOT-ONCE-EVER have I been seen late by him or his team. They are incredibly respectful of your time.
I can't emphasize enough that it is the combination of his professional experience (a Premier Invisalign Provider), bedside manner, willingness to take the time to talk with you, punctuality, personality, and the expertise that all of his staff possess in making you comfortable and confident that you are getting the best possible dental care available, that makes Dr. Hickory's practice so wonderful.
It has truly been a rare privilege to be one of his patients.

His staff is very nice, but I wasn't too impressed with him overall. The office seems to focus on Invisalign, and I ended up having braces. With braces, he seemed to not remember what he was doing every time I visited. I wasn't that happy with the results, and felt like they were trying to finish as quickly as possible.
On the plus side, his office is great and he has a nice dog. He's also a very nice guy .

Right next to some embassy or art gallery in Dupont Circle. Friendly staff and nice dog. He has done a lot of Invisalign procedures, which is why I went. Cost was okay. Excellent service; really nice guy; great staff. Not always present for procedures though and there are occassional mishaps. Would be 4 stars if he wasn't so busy.
