I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted on a Friday and went to a bbq with friends on Saturday. No Pain. I had heard several horror stories from friends about swollen faces & not being able to eat for days. (I was looking forward to not eating for weight-loss purposes ;-0 ) Needless to say, I was stressed out about having the procedure.
I was sedated with an I.V. and when I woke up, it was all over. My face was never swollen. I had soup the first day and had small portions of "normal" food the 2nd day. Around day 4, my jaw was a little tender. I went to bite a burger and it was a little uncomfortable to open my mouth wide. By day 7, that little tenderness subsided.
If you're having oral surgery, Dr. Lee is who you need to see!

I was referred to Dr. Lee by my dentist of 15 years (Jeffrey Hosford, DDS) for evaluation of removal of 4 healthy, but difficult-to-floss wisdom teeth. I am a 49-year-old WM with healthy teeth, but mildly receding gums. The evaluation included a panaromic x-ray. I found Dr. Lee professional, articulate, reassuring, and friendly. All four wisdom teeth were extracted this morning and I was eating solid food and tooth brushing 12 hours later. I was nervous pre-op because I'd never received general anasthesia. Her staff and Dr. Lee set me at ease. The general anasthesia was introduced so skillfully that I didn't realize for 10 minutes that the whole procedure already had been started and completed when I was ushered into a room to relax and wait for my wife. I though I was waiting to be moved to another room for my surgery! All day I have NOT had pain, only soreness. I experienced no nausea at any time. I am very pleased with Dr. Lee and her office staff. I have no dental insurance so I paid out of pocket. Fees were reasonable and good value for excellent service. Only complaint: Colony Square parking is the most expensive around and the office does not cover any parking. I will tell my dentist I was very pleased.
