My daughter had surgery for her wisdom teeth with Dr. Bankston 8 days ago and the experience was great. He was very kind and understanding, as my daughter was very nervous. She is feeling great after her surgery. Dr. Bankston is a great surgeon, definitely would recommend him!

Dr. Bankston extracted my daughter's wisdom teeth two weeks ago. I wish he had been around when I had my teeth extracted. The experience went exactly as he described in the consultation visit. We were in and out of his office in 90 minutes. My daughter had minimal swelling and she only used three pain pills after surgery. I was really impressed when I received a phone call from Dr. Bankston the evening after surgery to check on my daughter. Dr. Bankston and his staff are a real class act !!!!!

On 6/28/11, Dr.Bankston, #DN012418 performed 6 surgical extractions and 2 bone grafts on me, Prior to surgery, I informed Bankston I suffered from anxiety relative to dental visits and I have no threshold for pain. Bankston and his assistants callously ignored the information that I shared and caused me extensive pain that in turn forced me to hyperventilate the day of my surgery. After surgery, there was no contact from either Bankston or his staff to check on my home progress during the day that is normal procedure after oral surgery.
.
During my check up on 7/14/11, Bankston came into the exam room raising his voice to chastise me for asking questions of his staff. Bankston stated that I forced one of his employees to cry for asking questions. I probed for answers the individual obviously did not want to answer. I informed Bankston that I was not his subordinate and he had no right to abuse me. My questions involved the scheduling of appointment times. I was informed on a later date that surgeries are performed daily in the morning from approximately 09:00 am until 11:30 am yet Bankston initiated a phone call to me at 9:09 am on 7/26/11 when I questioned my billing
On 7/28/11, at my second bone graft check up, Bankston started to verbally abuse me as I had sent an email detailing complaints regarding my treatment. Bankston became visibly agitated and advised (and I quote) "get the f___k out of my office as this is your last appointment and you will no longer be treated here." Bankston has not only abused me as a patient but I have now been left without someone to check on the progression of my bone grafts for which Bankston was paid in full. I was overcharged for services at Bankston's office and he refused to refund my money
Bankston is being sued for Malpractice by another patient and is scheduled for trial on August 22, 2011. Kindly refer to this link to verify:

Bankston is the most callous, insenstive dentist ever. He lacks professionalism as he asks for payment prior to receiving any service, the staff is rude and unresponsive, then after your procedure there is no contact with the patient to follow up on how you are doing. This place is nothing more than a production line where they get you in and get you out. Forget personalized service or attention. Also, if you have high anxiety problems with pain, this is not the place to be seen. Bankston does not care about your threshold for pain. My advice is when you are spending this much money find a dentist who will mirror your needs.

I went to see Dr. Bankston for a temporary issue that resulted in him taking a biopsy from my tongue- which was like a mini surgery. He is the best doctor- the biopsy was benign but I almost wish there was a reason to go back and see him. His bed-side manner was so kind and gentle and professional. I wish all doctors interacted with patients like he does. Not to mention, he did a fabulous job, little pain, and I'm healing fine.

This was a terrible experience. His nurses put me in a room and hooked me up to an IV and then left me there for a FULL HOUR with no magazine, tv, anything while a patient in the next room screamed at the top of her lungs. Nobody from the staff visited during that hour and when I mentioned this to the doctor, he laughed it off. He may be technically a good surgeon but his bedside manner is horrific.

Dr. Bankston performed an apicoectomy procedure that I had to have completely redone by another oral surgeon. He overfilled the area so I had material floating around in my gum. He never fully explained my options, specifically that I did not have to be put to sleep. This oversight caused the procedure to be much more expensive since my insurance did not cover the cost. He and his office were so unhelpful throughout the entire process. He even charged me for a 5 minute visit when I told him the procedure was not successful. This was the most unprofessional healthcare experience I have ever had.
