I am very pleased with my experience getting a wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Otte. The procedure went quicker than I expected & and his staff were not only caring & friendly but answered all my questions.

Dr Otte does not listen to patient when he is told they are in pain 3 months after wisdom teeth were extracted. I told him multiple times something was wrong on left side. 2 1/2 months AFTER procedure I ended up swollen and have basically only had liquids for 3 months. I cannot chew, barely open mouth, swollen jaw. I finally went to a different surgeon a 90 minute drive from Peoria. I had infection and bone fragments in socket. I had seen Dr Otte 3 weeks ago saying something was wrong on left side and he blew me off and said it's TMJ. He had cut open that socket a month earlier and did grinding on bone which caused the bone fragments. I have lost 20 pounds since this surgery not quite 3 months ago. All because I cannot chew at all. He is too busy trying to get to next patient to actually listen to the one in front of him. And maybe arrogance since he's the dr and he knows it all. I'm just the patient. I don't know my own body, right? Steer clear of him. I HIGHLY recommend one in Galesburg and Macomb. He's now cleaning up Otte's mess.
