While having 2 lower wisdom teeth extracted, Dr. Mennitt failed to keep me sedated so that I became mentally awake & experienced excruciating pain during the suturing of my gums. He did not stop even though I was telling him it hurt while struggling as much as the sedation would allow me to move my mouth away from the source of the pain. I have a medically documented history of abuse & I found this to be sadistic & revictimizing. I saw no standard of care infection control protocol being followed as both he, while inserting the drug line and inserting the drugs was sans gloves, as was his assistant who without donning gloves removed blood soaked gauze from my mouth after the surgery; nor did I ever see anyone wear a mask. No current medical update was requested. I don’t think it unreasonable to expect a doctor after having placed a patient in such extreme distress to check on that patient after the surgery; I never saw Mennitt afterward. I never exercised due diligence in investigating Dr. Mennitt’s online records, I found records in the Maryland Judiciary Case Search database and discussed those with my referring general dentist. Had I been aware of those records at the time of the referral, I would not have used his services.

Implants - Staff was unhelpful, Dr. was rude. My implants failed in no time.

I was recommended to see Dr. Mennett by my regular dentist to have my wisdom teeth pulled and I must say I was scared to death, however, from the time I walked in the door to the time I left, I felt so welcomed, comforted and please witht he service I received. I went to Bowie location and I truly mean everyone was extremely nice, professional and really took care of me. They called me twice after I left the office to make sure I was recovering well and to see if I had any problems. I was extremely impress with Dr. Mennett and his staff that I had to write a letter and make a comment on this page. I am hard cookie to please, they treated me so well, I told my regular dentist of 12 years that he now has competition.

Dr. Mennitt removed two wisdom teeth from my lower jaw, years ago, and commented on "how brave a patient I was," as I had only minimal anesthesia (lidocaine?) and no nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and remained awake. The procedure was quick, kinda funny, and totally painless.
I dragged my reluctant husband into Dr. Mennitt's office a year or so later...as he had been suffering from an acute, painful tooth for quite awhile. Dr. Mennitt extended gracious comments, personally coming out to speak with me...relieved I had gotten my woe-be-gotten husband into his office, "oh, when I pulled that tooth, the puss came pouring out..." Dr. Mennitt has great care and concern for his patient's! and has a knack for giving sincere, positive compiments------not only to his patients----------but to those who successfully can motivate the suffering---into his office!
I highly recommend Dr. Mennitt's efficient dental care!

Only suggestion for change...(front desk)...willingness to set up payment program for patients if procedures (insurance doesn't cover) exceeds $200.
