My experience was absolutely terrible. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed. After every other surgery I've had, the surgeon has called to check on me afterwards. I never heard anything from Dr Chiapel. I was origionally assured that normal healing time was 3-4 days in my consultation. I was in excruciating pain for 11 days. I've been back in twice to see him, and both times he's spent less than 2 minutes with me. It is not even possible that he could have seen the holes in the top of my mouth and verify that they are in fact healing well. All he has done is send me more pain medicine/ change my dose. I went to another oral surgeon, who gave me a tool to clear both sockets (most oral surgeons do), which made a world of difference. The entire experience has been a nightmare, and I suggest you find an oral surgeon who makes you feel like he cares about your care after a major surgery.

I was referred to see dr chiapel by my dentist to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I didn't wait long to get back to the exam room but when I was hooked up to the laughing gas, I was waiting for at least a half hour! I had a horrible headache from the nitrous and wanted to leave. the doctor was rude and in a huge hurry which I felt very uncomfortable with! (the office was empty , so it was not busy at all) never going back there again and would never refer anyone there. way more expensive than other places also!
About Front Desk: lady at the front desk wasn't too friendly either .

Dr Chiapel and his staff were very helpful, and after being to several other oral surgeons in the greater St lous area, I was most satisfied with the Dr and his compassionate ways. I visited many times for my inplant procedures, and would recommend this office higly. His treatment was very successful.

I had a fully erupted first molar extracted by Dr. Chiapel. I had IV sedation, which was pleasant, but was billed to my insurance company as general anesthetic and was billed at longer duration than I was in the office. A few months later I found out through xrays at another dentist that he had left a root tip ( he had not extracted the WHOLE tooth). I was very disappointed in the service I recieved. When I called to question why I was billed for 1.5 hours of anesthetic when that was longer than the entire time I was in their office all told , I was dealt with very rudely. I cannot in good faith recommend them.

I was dreading my surgery and I could not be happier with my experience.
