I went in to get my wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Young is obviously very good at what he does-except when it comes to IV placement. I had explained that I was terrified of needles and even had my mom hold my hand. The placement was painful and then he continues to dig in my arm for 5 mins after my mom had left. It hurt like hell. That is not the way to treat a patient who is terrified of needles.
Also, the day before my appointment his office called me to inform me they had cancelled my appointment for an emergency surgey... And then said that I could take an earlier appointment in the day? I thought that was fishy, and it also extremely inconvenienced my family and I as we had planned our weeks around the time it was originally scheduled for. I never even got an explanation or a say in the rescheduling of my appointment.

I have had a number of extractions over the years, in various places, with various dentists and oral surgeons. After having had nearly half a dozen extractions done by Dr Young over the past ten years, I am consistently impressed with Dr Young's skill and expertise; the courtesy, friendliness and helpfulness of his staff and the relatively pain-free results of having an extraction done by Dr Young. I gladly recommend him every time someone I am talking to mentions anything relating to the need for any kind of oral surgery.
