I found Dr. Assael to be a caring doctor who was thoroughly concerned about my well being both before surgery and throughout my recovery. He had an extremely gentle touch and I would undoubtedly recommend his services to my closest family and friends.

Dr. Assael extracted two of my children's wisdom teeth and when my 12 year old needs the procedure I will bring him there too.
He is a very kind and gentle surgeon and fully willing to work with you.
I needed an implant several years ago and would go to no one but Dr. Assael.
Although this process takes close to one year, he made a temporary prothesis for me and kept me comfortable.
The tooth looks and feels like it was always in my mouth and for that I thank him!
I would highly recommend Dr. Assael. My husband, family and several friends have all been extremely satisfied with his results.

Dr. Assael is the BEST! He was so thorough both during and subsequent to the procedure (I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed). He was very caring and showed a great deal of concern for my well-being. He took time to not only explain the procedure in depth, but also to explain the actual anatomy. It was almost like a class. I felt very at ease and am extremely pleased with my results. I had zero complications.

Dr.Assael is a caring, gentle man with a great touch. He puts the nedd of the patient first, His experience gives you ease in case someting unusual should occur. He called me 3x after surgery to ensure my well being. His whole staff is excellent and caring as well!!! If you need dental surgery he is the only person i can think of!! I live in New Jersey and travel to long island for his service, because he is that good!!!!
I used to be a denatl assistant and saw somethings I wish i didnt but Dr. assaek is so professional and courtesous that any doubt in the genral profession of dentistry is gone in his capable hands!!
I not only use him as my dental surgeon but I would ,et my daughter go to him too! I have had 3 procedures with him, inculding a dental implant and bone reconstruction and am always happy with his work and follow ups.

I would not recommend Dr. Assael. He's more interested in padding his bottom line than what's in the best interest of his patients.
I needed an immediate extraction of a wisdom tooth that was impacted and infected. After viewing my x-ray, he recommended that I postpone the extraction until I could schedule the procedure in the hospital (more expensive and requiring exposure to general anesthesia). Also, he recommended that while I was having the infected one removed - I might as well have the other impacted one removed - again adding to the expense. I received a second and third opinion from other dentists who said that removing the second one was not only unnecessary - but also risky - as it was very close to a nerve. Needless to say, I saved several thousand dollars by having just the infected one removed in another dentist's office, under sedation (not anesthesia).

Nice, thorough and caring. He is the only oral surgeon on Long Island I would choose. He answered all my questions and made me feel completely confortable during my procedure.
