Dr. Adams was the head resident at the University of Iowa and performed a large part of my jaw surgery in 2002. The anticipated five hour surgery lasted nearly nine hours; my upper and lower jaws were both broken and moved, my chin was reconstructed and my tongue was clipped. While it was a horrible healing process, Dr. Adams made the experience much more tolerable. He gave us his home number and took calls about concerns at all hours - day or night. He was very warm and I felt as though he took me under his wing. After I got my wires removed, he even came for a celebratory dinner at our house. He is a truly amazing person and surgeon, whom I would recommend to anyone. My family and I have never forgotten his kindness and I doubt we ever will. As corny as it sounds, Dr. Max changed my life and I couldn't be happier with the results.
