Dr. Murphy took a good amount of time to get to know me and then to explain what he was going to do and what outcome I could expect. I experienced no pain or discomfort and he worked quickly. His attitude and conversation gave me confidence that I was in good hands, and indeed the implant "took" and I am ready now for the tooth to be fitted to it.
Office is pleasant and dental assistants were cheerful and efficient.
One thing I did not like was that I was told at the outset that the whole fee, $1800., had to be paid before any work was done. I couldn't do that and since I was referred by my own dentist of 20 years in the same building, I thought my reliability could be expected. I refused to pay up front and said I would bow out. A few days later I got a call from the implant coordinator to say that I could pay at my own pace.
I don't know whether Dr. Murphy knew about this conversation between me and the implant coordinator but I expect he had approved the policy when it was put in place. Nevertheless I would go to him again if I need another implant.
I googled the Dr. and learned he was a Diplomate and a Fellow and honored by the state and national ADA, so those were more reasons to have confidence in him.
