Had pain and jaw complications years after getting 4 wisdom teeth extractions done.... He is also not the nicest person in the world...

I had two wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Berman several years ago, but when the anesthesia wore off, I realized there was still something left in my gums. I called the office and told them I believed there was still part of my tooth left that hadn't been extracted, and everyone, from the receptionist all the way up to Dr. Berman pretty much thought I was crazy. They finally agreed to see me, although it was like they were doing so merely to humor me. However, upon my return to the office, Dr. Berman discovered that he had, in fact, left one of the roots in place (I evidently had two extra roots on that tooth). It was rather upsetting to me that the doctor and his staff did not believe me when I told them something wasn't right, so from now on, I will specifically request his partner, Dr. Forde, from whom I have had nothing but the best treatment.

While Dr Berman was gentle, personable and thoroughly medically competant, his partner Dr Ford, who was on call to treat my daughter's post operative abcess and infection was THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. His treatment was brusk and my daughter felt man handled.
The billing staff within his office went to extreme measures to make some sort of point of principle with my insurance company to hopefully SECURE LESS MONEY IN TOTAL for the procedure in the sum due from me and my ins co. I cannot imagine why his biller is putting extraordinary efforts into securing less money for the services rendered, but she is. my out of pocket liability will be only $20 more or less either way, but his office person is so fixated, that she is lobbying to secure less money under the contract rate from my ins co.
I felt very badly for Dr Berman who was gentle, sweet and perfectly competant to be affiliated with such an upside down practice. Hopefully when my son needs a similar procedure, he will be practicing elsewhere.
