I had surgery here in July 2010 to expose an impacted canine and remove two impacted wisdom teeth.
Dr Baker was thorough and explained things well. I felt comfortable going into the surgery. I had no problems other than a week later my neck locked up and my regular doctor said that often happens after oral surgery because the head is tilted so far back for a long period of time.
I liked that they have a special front door for patients to exit through straight to their waiting car instead of trying to navigate through the lobby and front doors.
The office staff knew exactly what my cost would be up front so their were no surprises later.
Overall, I was happy with my experience and would recommend Dr Baker.

My daughter had a frenectomy completed by Dr. James Baker. He was very personable with a great bedside manner. His staff was excellent. They all made my 9yr. old daughter feel at ease. I really appreciated the follow-up call the following day. Double thumbs up!!!

Dr. Baker has done four extensive jaw surgeries on me, the last one in 1992 with a rib graft to my left jaw. He is amazing and an absulute life safer. I would trust no one else to tend to my jaw problems.

Dr. Baker did my TMJ surgery in 2000. This type of surgery is never done with any guarantee of sucess, but I was very fortunate with Dr. Baker. The incapacitating headaches disappeared as did the jaw pain and popping. During the surgery one side of my jaw was shortened as well as the jaw being reset. I was wired for seven weeks (now I understand it is three weeks or less). I never really had any pain because of the nerves that were cut. All feeling returned to my face in a few months. I was completely free of discomfort until I fell face first onto the concrete last December during an ice storm. Orthodontics are helping now. Should I ever need the surgery repeated I would not hesitate to contact Dr. Baker.
Dr. Baker has is a very kind person with a low key manner. He is very considerate and thoughtful.
The only negative factor was his billing department/person in 2000. She required $1500 up front when my insurance deductible and out-of-pocket expenses had been met completely. I paid it to get the surgery done and then fought tooth and nail to get my $1500 back. She was the only negative aspect.

Dr. Baker is a very kind and interesting doc. He is very easy to talk to and listens to all questions and concerns and addresses them one by one. He takes his time and makes you feel like he's in no hurry to get to the next patient. I will be undergoing sliding ostomies next week and I have complete confidence in Dr. Baker. Over the years I have had several of Dr. Baker's patients in our office. I have seen his work first hand and have heard his patients describe him as an excellent surgeon.
