I had a tooth extracted. It was the most positive dental experience I have ever had. I felt no pain and was very comfortable during the procedure.

I was very dissatisfied with this dentist. The customer service was horrible, and even though it was on paper, they failed to apply my double coverage insurance. I would not recommend them, I'd actually recommend going to Dr. John Cannon that is a little further down Poplar Ave. Everyone there is great, and they even sang me a song.

The dentist was fine. Its the staff that needs improvement. When calling to get an estimate to get a tooth pulled, the receptionist kept pleading ignorance. When you finally get your bill, you'll see that they won't give you an estimate because they slap an $80 exam fee on you. When we were in the office waiting, we heard the same receptionist receive several calls from people asking for estimates for pulling teeth and she played dumb saying they would need to do an evaluation first to determine exactly what needed to be done. The whole thing is such a scam. They made us pay up front what they thought we would owe them ($300)...and they were wrong. When we got our explanation of benefits we found several mistakes and have been diligently attempting to fix it. We called the dentist office to keep them informed but they said since they haven't received any word from our insurance company, they were sending our bill to collections...and it's only been 2 months! We offered to bring them our EOBs and they said they couldn't accept them. So, after it all, it turns out the dentist office owes us most of the money we gave them up front, and as we wait for our correct EOB, the dentist office is charging us interest on our balance. Shady!

I found Dr. Stein on my insurance carriers website. I am very pleased with his service and his clinical staff. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed. My recovery has been quite pleaseant. I would recommend anyone in the Memphis area looking for an oral surgeon to give Dr. Stein a call. I was greeted promptly as I entered the office, my payments were explained to me by the office manager and I also experienced super service once I got to the back for my surgery. Dr. Stein is very thorough and polite. He even phoned me later after office hours to see how I was recovering.
