I had the maxillary and mandibular advancement due to severe sleep apnea. This is a major procedure. I veted 13 other Oral Surgeons in Houston and went back to Dr. Taylor for my surgery. He was honest with me and explained the procedure. The surgery was a success. The staff was so kind and helpful especially Patti and Kathy. Kathy processed my insurance for me. Patti helped me to prepare for the surgery and anwsered questions. I have much respect for Dr. Taylor and his staff. I recommend Dr. Taylor highly.

I had both maxillary and mandibular surgery to correct a class III jaw (underbite). The office staff didn't pull any punches about how traumatic and uncomfortable this procedure was going to be. They provided a thorough informed consent briefing, and I had to sign my life away for all of the complications that could have happened. The worst part was dealing with the anxiety before the surgery, After surgery, my pain was well managed, and I had tremendous support from the "team" at Dr. Taylor's office and during my 2 day stay at Methodist hospital. If you are a candidate for this surgery, and really can't decide, take the plunge and trust Dr. Taylor. He's the absolute best and the result will change your life.

My 16-year-old daughter had upper and lower jaw surgery. The preparation (by Patty and staff) was so thorough that we had no fears and no unexpected outcomes. Taylor and his staff do an awesome job of education and preparation which reduced our anxiety and prepared my daughter with what to experience. In particular we spent two hours with the staff learning about pain management, food intake, metabolism and more which reduced my daughter's pain and recovery time. As parents, we were treated with respect and even the waiting time during surgery was less stressful (and Methodist Hospital was even giving back massages in the waiting room!) My daughter was treated like a princess and felt she could ask anything. I have never experienced this kind of patient care and highly recommend Dr. Taylor, his staff and Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Taylor is a GREAT ORAL SURGEON!!! His daughter, Patti (nurse) and his staff are A-W-E-S-O-M-E (competent, pleasant, courteous, professional, big sense of humor, etc.)!!! I just had my upper and lower jaw surgery on 12/15/08. The surgery turned out to be "even better" than I thought!!! Everyone was amazed by the result. It was painless; I did not lose alot of blood either! I am just really swollen which he has been telling me on my pre-op visits!!!! Dr. Taylor is like an ANGEL sent from GOD!!! He makes me feel like HOME during my post op hospital stay!!!! I strongly recommend him to any folks without considering!!!! In fact, my fiance and mom will visit him very soon for other oral problems!!!!

My daughter had suffered from debilitating migraines since childhood. In addition, she wore braces for nearly 4 years. The braces corrected her teeth but throughout high school the migraines affected my daughter's performance. We knew she had TMJ but she had poor results with an orthodontic specialist.
After seeing Dr. Taylor, my daughter's problem was accurately diagnosed. She needed surgery to realign her jaw. Dr. Taylor spent a lot of time with us, taking us step by step through the procedure. He constructed a model of my daughter's jaw to make sure she understood everything. The surgery was a complete success and my daughter is now an E.R. nurse at a major hospital, fulfilling her lifelong dream to be in the helping field.

Dr. Taylor removed my wisdom teeth, and I will also be using him for jaw surgery as well. He is laid back and makes you feel right at home. I was recommended to him by a friend who is in medical sales for maxiofacial implants and other maxiofacial surgical equipment here in Houston. He said Taylor was the best. Dr. Tayor also says he hasn't wired a jaw shut since the 80's, which is something I am glad to hear. I am looking forward to being his patient again.

My son had a very unusual dental problem that Dr. Taylor dealt with fast, kept us informed of the procedures, and progress, and was very good dealing with a very anxious, stressed-out mother! Dr. Taylor had to re-form a jaw joint for a 13 year old due to serious malpractice by doctors in another town. Since the surgery he has had some recurring problems due to the fact he is still growing and the jaw joint is slower in growning, but Dr Taylor has worked us in on short notice, and stepped us through dealing with these problems as they arise.
Our appointments have always been quick to schedule, we are taken back to the exam room on time, and his staff has worked diligently to coordinate with other offices and hospitals as needed to get us in the same day as our appt. since we were from out of town.
His staff worked with our insurance company and I have never had a problem with their filings or my bill. His front offfice staff is great, they are friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed the times Dr. Taylor had interns with him to hear him explain the problems my son experienced, and the questions they had after hearing the explanation of the accident and post-problems.
I highly recommend Dr. Taylor.
